Our recent stay was for 3 nights. The owner/manager was helpful and very responsive to our requests and also for suggestions around this ski village. Though it a good location to walk to most shops and some restaurants and bars, the basic twin studio room is 10-20 mtrs from the main road through town which only becomes a noise issue...

Stayed here recently for a snow trip. Unfortunately the mountain was closed for two of the three days which was VERY heartbreaking after planning this trip over 6 months ago. In saying that the host was very sympathetic and helped us with other things we could do and extra internet vouchers. Room is small though very comfortable and very clean....

We are a family of 5 with 3 children under 13. Stayed here for two nights in August, while on a Ski holiday. The property is conveniently located, a short walk from several restaurants, bars and the supermarket. The room was spotless and reasonably well equipped for the price. Since we had the family apartment, which is round the back,...

Two groups of us stayed here in August. The apartment was spotless and most importantly very warm. We had everything we needed and the drying room was great too. The manager was very helpful and we have booked again to stay in a few weeks. We booked well in advance and it was very reasonable. The bus picked us up...

Pretty standard roadside motel, very friendly staff. Room was clean and tidy however was very small and 2 people would have trouble moving around within room, had it's own cooking faculties which were handy (Mini fridge, Microwave, small cook 2 burner electric cook top, crockery). Quite modern and appeared freshly painted. Only thing missing was a hair dryer which would...

We had one night stay here with a family of 5. The apartments is very comfortable, clean and spacious. The location is great, very close to supermarkets, and has great view of Mount Ruapehu. very near to big carrot landmark too. Overall, we are happy with this place and recommend to visitors especially those with family! The bonus point was,...

Our unit was smallish, partly as there was an extra single bed in the room. Bathroom was well designed and up to date. Wifi coupons worked well, although I needed a second one for our overnight stay. I think they are 100mb each, but they are complimentary. TV channels seemed limited. A pleasant no hassle stay, but not luxurious. I...

Stayed here with my wife and daughter in January. The room was very basic and extremely hot even though the weather outside was only mild. Whilst advertised as being able to accommodate five adults, our room could barely fit two adults and a child. Not sure where the extra people would stay. Probably adequate for 20-somethings going skiing, but not...

The best about this place was the host Lynn. She picked me up at the bus stop and took me to the railway station (which is quite far) at the end of my stay. Originally I wanted to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, but due to some very bad weather I had to give up this idea. Lynn then suggested...
