Really good facilities (kitchen, living area, toilet and shower facilities). Bedroom was dry and comfortable. Really good proximity to the mountain - went for skiing season, but would be keen to use it during summer/spring. Bicycle hire also available.

Tidy, clean comfortable and well supplied. Well heated. Our party was 5 adults (grand parents, parents and adult son) staying in a two bedroom Chalet for 2 nights, so the 5th adult chose to move the roller bed into the lounge. We moved the furniture around a bit to accommodate, but still found we had plenty of living space. Hot...

Excellent place in the chalet for our family. A hot tub over looking the mountain. Friendly hosts who know there stuff and make great coffee. Very convient near the train station only 100 metres away makes it so easy.

Very clean and spacious amenities. Great kitchen and lounge area. Beds are sturdy and comfortable, the heater in the rooms worked very well. Bathrooms and showers exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly. Did not have time to enjoy the outdoor areas but I'm sure they are just as lovely.

Stayed at Station Lodge as part of a big group completing the Tongariro Crossing. Spacious lounge area and kitchen area which was well-maintained. Would have to say this is the best hostel I've stayed at.

We wanted somewhere central in the North Island as we had family travelling from the north, south and east. After very easy and helpful communications with Jane, one of the owners, Station Lodge turned out to be the perfect choice. The hosts were very relaxed and left us to it after they had lit the fire and made sure we...

The apartment we rented for 4 nights was clean, spacious and well-equipped. It gave us a fine quiet base from which to explore the area. The highlight was the day spent on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The best hike we had ever done. Forest walks around Ohakune and a car trip up the Mountain Road to Mt Ruapehu were suggested...

We booked the entire Lodge in March as it had been recommended by another large group who had booked the Lodge a few months prior. We were all so impressed in every way with our weekend stay here - it's large, super clean, central, large grounds so the kids could spread out and with beautiful views of the mountain from...

The lodge is clean, thoughtfully equipped, cosy and airy with a great view of Mt. Ruapehu from the patio and the garden and you can stargaze in a clear night. The bathrooms have good showers with strong water pressure and spot on temperature regulation. The lodge's owners provide you with information and make suggestions for your activities and they offer...

What a great place to stay! With a beautiful location in Ohakune, Station Lodge is the perfect spot to relax after a long day of hiking. The rooms were very clean with fresh linen provided at the beginning of the stay. The bathrooms and showers were conveniently located and very clean also. There is a great vibe in the kitchen/living...
