The Hostel is absolutely great it is nice and clean. The view is amazing and the hot spa pool after a long day walking or sl´kiing is all you need to rest your body. The rooms are good and the living room has the biggest TV on earth.

We often travel up to Ohakune before a days skiing, The Station Lodge suits us perfectly as it is great value when you only want a shower and a clean bed for a few hours. Book online keys waiting for you when you get there. This is not for everyone it can be noisy and some people are not good...

Short but sweet stay; very highly recommended place. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff and a charming kitchen/living room. Room was comfortable and warm and the showers were clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very close to cafes, bottom of mountain with staff to assist with any queries regarding skiing or biking.

Very cool, well restored old building. Love the wooden panelling around the place, and the big couch in the lounge. Great kitchen. Had the best afternoon sitting in the sun on the couch on the porch. Close to good food places, Turoa, Old Coach Rd etc. Only critiques are knowing where to check in, and the functionality of some of...

The girl doing housekeeping doing a great job! The bathrooms are super clean, as well as the rooms and lounges! And, that girl ( I assume her as the manager) gave us a warm welcome and clear orientation about the lodge! Nevertheless, the water pressure are super strong! Enjoyed my stay over there!!!

Station Lodge is a perfect place to stay if you are on a low budget. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The ambience is rather special, with the age of the building, high ceilings, and polished wood. The hosts are friendly and welcoming.

Stayed 1 night in one of their apartments then upgraded to 2 bed chalet with spa pool. Both are good value and had everything we needed. Short walk to Powderhorn pub and cafes. Hosts are very nice and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

We really loved the Lodge. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and tidy as were the kitchen/lounge areas. The kitchen is well stocked and the recycling bins are a great idea. There are plenty of activities on offer locally, not just skiing or snowboarding! We hired bikes from the lodge and did an awesome 16km...

As a regular to this YHA I love it simply for its great facilities. They have done a refurbish and there's gorgeous, native timber throughout. Everyone needs to enjoy in a hot tub after a day on the slopes, the cosy lounge is perfect for apres ski down time and the shared kitchen and fireplace is superb. Always friendly staff,...

We stayed in a two bedroom chalet for four nights. The chalet was equipped with a heat pump and heaters in bedrooms so was very cosy. We also had our own spa pool, which was great after a day at the snow. Located at the north end of Ohakune , it is very handy to Turoa Skifield and only an...
