Arrived in Orewa late last night ,tired and made the mistake of thinking OK it's only for one night. Positives - Close to cafes and restaurants , just as well because you wouldn't want to eat in this room. Negatives - $173 - no microwave, weird light switches, thin walls( hear other occupants),appalling bathroom with mould all round shower, disgusting...

Everywhere else was booked out or I would have walked out. The noise from the road is dreadful and to add to our poor sleep, the owners had a security light on all night outside our glass sliding door. The kitchen consisting of microwave and mini fridge was so dirty that we ate out. Thank goodness I always travel with...

This place is very clean. Amazing location. Free wifi! We got the room with the microwave and mini fridge, score! A little on the pricey side but there's not much you can do about that. Books up quick so plan ahead! Felt safe and clean here, definitely recommend this place!

hoping to have a romantic night away - the place was shabby , cobwebs , dirty , smelly , bed extrem uncomfotable , would not recommend - this place needs to be shut down until up to motel standards , overpriced for what it was

Big different on the web site. The room was old and run down and mostly the facilities were breaking apart. Ask for a better kettle because black ants nested in it but was told us to washed it. Poor attitude and service sucks! High price per day but did not meet the standards shown in Internet. I agreed with the...

Thank goodness it was for one night. Room was shabby and wallpaper peeling as well as the paint. Very tired looking furniture and overall in poor condition. A bit overpriced for what was offered, and would definitely seek alternate accommodation.

We have just arrived back from Orewa from one of the worst experiences I have EVER had. Guy was pleasant enough on check in, eventually, went to use bathroom and there was long black hair all over bathroom floor. which was tiled. Totally gross, but just wiped it up with loo roll and noticed after prepping some food in kitchen the...

We arrived in Orewa and began looking for a motel. It was the night before a car rally so the town was very busy. We managed to find a vacancy here after some searching. The room was quiet and the bed fairly comfortable but the furnishings were very downmarket and tired. For what was being offered it was expensive and...

Only place with a vacancy left for two of us on a Tuesday night. Price was fine, no complaints there. Room was OK with a few friendly bugs, could have done with an airing. Oddly enough, one of the two double beds had a notice asking that we didn't disturb it. Friendly welcome and helpful advice from the owner on...

Like previous T A reporters stated, this place needs a clean-up. We booked this motel based on the web info but were surprised at the state of the room. Cobwebs, wall paper peeling of the wall etc. We could not find another place in town so we were stuck. The worst was that we booked two stays here, one coming...
