Just spent ten days at Blue Lagoon Resort with a UK dive group and the dive shop and dive team where outstanding, special thanks to Hansen and Russel our boat crew for great dives and kit fills and carrying 😄 The resort / hotel is a dive resort peaceful and tranquil with a great set of staff and service. The...

If you are going to Chuuk (Truk Lagoon) to dive, I recommend a live-aboard. However, if you wish to save a few dollars, the Blue Lagoon Resort has you covered. It is an old place, somewhat run-down in terms of structures and facilities, but the grounds are beautiful, immaculately kept, and rich in history. The food is only barely average/adequate,...

This resort is a dive resort, it’s a bit old but its well maintained and its clean, the grounds are divine and you look out on beautiful reefs and there is a great bar with sunset views. All the rooms have a sea view, they supply drinking water and there is a small fridge for your drinks etc. When you...

Let me start by saying that the grounds of this resort are amazing. The people are very friendly and I found the food the be good. I was there on a dive trip twice and have no complaints about the resort. I was there diving and will tell you that at the time they did not have "nitrox" available and...

I will start with the diving as most people visiting Chuuk/Truk will be here for the diving, although beautiful there really is little else to do here. Getting around is a nightmare as the roads are so damaged that although the distance from the airport to the Blue Lagoon is only a few miles it takes a long bumpy mini...

The resort is built from the building the Japanese had during WWII. They have done a great job making it into a resort. Almost all the rooms have lagoon view. The rooms were very spacious and clean. There is AC in the rooms but in the evenings no need because of nice breeze blowing off lagoon. All through the resort...

I have stayed at the blue lagoon resort twice now and I'm going again next summer 2017. The island is remote, I mean remote, don't complain about the crinkle cut chips you are on a remote isolated island. You have Aircon, and a good choice of food which is fine. It's not a top restaurant but is great and the...

This resort purports to be five star , well maybe according to this very backward island. The trip to the resort from the airport is an adventure in itself, the road is so full of holes that progress at more than 5 mph is impossible . The politics of this island is so corrupt but let's not get into that....

A difficult review to write as there are contrasting aspects to the Blue Lagoon. I was there for 11 nights and did 8 days diving. This is a review of the Blue Lagoon Resort, not Chuuk. I knew before I went that it was a very poor island and that it was dangerous to venture out of the resort. This...
