Myself and four friends stayed in the Bunkhouse prior to and after our adventure on the Ruth Glacier. It was the perfect accommodation for us and our gear. The showers were hot. The place was clean. Our hosts were gracious. The beds were comfortable. The price was right. What more could you ask for.

This hostel sets the bar really high. It is so clean, cozy, and comfortable. I felt like it's in the best location in town, also. Everything is IMMACULATE. They are so friendly and provide you with everything you need. I feel like they allow you great privacy all while being super friendly and really caring about you as an individual....

Loved staying in this historic hostel. Stayed in the bunk house, which is a steal. Even as a single female, I felt completely safe and comfortable in a shared living space. Extremely helpful and welcoming staff, Gertrud and Barb. I've stayed in hostels all over the world, and this one stole a little bit of my heart. I will stay...

I stayed at the House of Seven Trees for two nights and it was so cozy, comfortable and clean. It is very homey and invites relaxation and is located right in the heart of Talkeetna.. The living room is so inviting to sit and put your feet up and read. The host, Barbara, was so warm and friendly and she...

Loved staying here and wished we'd had more time to enjoy it. At $100 for a sizeable room with a super cozy bed and a lovely house, free cocoa and tea, a kitchen to use, etc - it seems like the best deal in Alaska. We were only there for one night after camping in Denali and it was a...

We had 5 hours to kill before our train ride back to Anchorage and Barbara and her dog OP let us escape the rain and relax and read and hang out in her warm & cozy living room. She even had wifi. A perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon. Its located just behind the yellow denali overland transportation co....

I was blown away by the friendliness. We stayed in the house for one night. We would stay again in a heart beat. She was so helpful while we were there in the do's and don'ts. She was so gracious to take us to the train so we did not have to walk. It is in the center of town...

The location of this hostel can't be beat. It's right next to a solid brewpub on one side and a pizza restaurant on the other, and across the street from gift shops and other restaurants. The people who run it are very friendly; we chatted about a range of topics and felt very comfortable. The amenities include a shared living...

We stayed here for only one night. The place is clean, I felt like home. Staff was very nice, we had a lot to share, because people working there have traveled and knows what it actually means. The atmosphere was great and it made my day. Would definitely stay again!

We had a larger group and had the entire house to ourselves (aside from shared bathrooms). The full kitchen and two bathrooms were plenty sufficient for our large group and those staying in the bunk house. The hosts were very accommodating. If you get a chance to meet and talk with the owner, Pat, you'll get a glimpse into the...
