I don't think I can adequately put into words how much my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Caribou Lodge, but I'll try. Joe and Bonnie really love this place, and it shows in both how they maintain it, and how they treat their guests. They bend over backwards to make you feel welcome, and treat everyone like...

During our recent trip to Alaska, my husband and I wanted some sort of off the grid backcountry experience. After an extensive search I settled on the Caribou Lodge. We spent 3 wonderful nights at the Lodge and loved every minute. You take a float plane in and out which is an exciting experience just on its own. Once you...

If you want to know what it feels like to spend time off the grid in the Alaska bush, go to Caribou Lodge. Hosts Joe and Bonnie provide a wonderful experience from the moment you step off the sea plane onto the dock on their lake. Bonnie is a master in the kitchen. Her meals are innovative and delicious. And...

I am so thankful for such an amazing experience. . This remote all inclusive lodge exceeded all expections. The food was delicious , homemade, and abundant. My 10 year old daughter, 15 year old son, and I visited the nicest restaurants in fairbanks and anchorage we could find...none came close to the home cooking of the Bramantes (our hosts). The...

The Caribou Lodge has made our top 5 list of all time! We travel the world in search of those extra special properties that make our trips memorable; one that greets you with excitement that you made the right choice....and bids you farewell with a yearning to return. As soon as the float plane landed and docked at Caribou, we...

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Caribou Lodge--the trip was for our 40th anniversary--there was wonderful scenery, wonderful food, wonderful company and a wonderful dog! Cabins werer very comfortable and enjoyed the walks and picking blueberries--a great place if you want peace and quiet. Perhaps a few more activity options offered for the price. We would surely go...

Caribou Lodge is a great place to get away from the crowds and see what Alaska really is all about. My family (2 adults and two boys) had a great time hiking and exploring. Joe and Bonnie are incredible hosts. Joe spent more time with us leading hikes and showing us the best berries to eat than we could have...

Joel, Thank you for coming and bringing your family to the lodge this summer. You kept us on our toes with your quick banter and your family was fun to have around. We immensely enjoyed spending time around the campfire, roasting marshmallows and laughing at the boys foot races up the hill. We hope your family is doing well and...

We spent 10 days traveling through Alaska, but our time at Caribou Lodge was the best part of our trip! The property is gorgeous, the food amazing, and we have never slept better. It felt like an authentic Alaskan experience where we were able to turn off our cell phones and truly enjoy the great outdoors that surround Caribou Lodge....

One of our all time favorite vacations!! Zac was great about giving us lots of info even before we booked and Bonnie and Joe made our stay perfect! The guest cabins are very clean and comfortable. The outhouse and shower facilities were also clean and convenient. The real jewel though is the experience created by Bonnie and Joe is such...

Rebecca (and Ken), Thank you for your visit this summer, we enjoyed your company so much! Howie was in heaven with all the affection and attention! You both were such gracious guests, quick to offer assistance as well as adding laughter and fun around the dinner table. Congratulations on your "berry foraging badge", you were a great student! Every time Denali came into view, I gasped. For four days! Every time! I had no idea what to expect from this trip. Its rural Alaska afterall, so who knows! Tisha, Thank you for coming to stay at the lodge this summer. We get a lot of guests over the season, but you were one we will always remember.
