Upon arrival at the Bora Bora airport, we were greeted by a representative of the Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort Thalasso & Spa and was gifted a nice reusable water bottle. We were guided to our boat shuttle and transported to our hotel. Once there, we were met with a man blowing a conch sounding our welcome. We exited the boat and guided to the reception area where we were offered some refreshing drinks and a cool towel. After we were checked in, we were taken to our over-water-bungalow facing Mt. Otumanu. Once inside, my words were, OMG! It’s beautiful and breathtaking. We loved it. Everything worked well and it had a cool sound system accessed via the TV which allowed me to play my music from my iPhone. Once settled, we enjoyed every part of the resort. The staff was fantastic and greeted us warming throughout the resort. The food was very good and the drinks were tasty and packed a punch. If one is going to pay that amount, you want the liquor to shine through. This trip was set to take place in 2020, but due to the pandemic it was postponed until June 2023, a three year delay. All I can say, it was worth the wait. My recommendation is to make Bora Bora your last stop before going home because this place is the crown jewel. I like to thank all who took care us but specifically the following who made our time shine: the Reef manager, Heitiare; servers Albertine, Morehere, Moetaua; at the pool/beach bar, Jasmina; and at the Le Corial restaurant, manager, Jean-Batist, sommelier Maine, servers, Lena and Amore. We recently traveled to Bora Bora as a family. We had a wonderful time in a beautiful setting. But what made it exceptional was the staff. They were so kind and attentive. A special shout out to Toto and the pool guys who always put a smile on our faces, Pierre (guest relations), Teri and Louise at the Reef restaurant as well as the manager (whose name I can't recall - sorry!). Thank you for helping to make a family reunion even more special. Appreciate everything the resort does to make it a brilliant time for folks.

Everything I had seen in the brochures is true. If this is not the most beautiful location on the planet, then it must be top 3. Weather was lovely & the views from the overwater bungalows towards the main island were to die for (as per photo insert). Lagoon water colours were amazing - aqua, light blue & deep blue (deeper areas) making for fantastic photos. The resort was expensive but exceptional. Everything seemed to have been thought of & the attention to detail was very good. The 3-day stay was a good balance of $$$ vs experience, although 5 days would be better! Fish in lagoons for snorkling, kayaks & paddle boards to use. We could swim off our private jetty in the 1.6m deep lagoon. Took the option for half board (breakfast & dinner) with the accommodation package, which was a great deal as food "a la carte" is not cheap. Resort is very clean & spacious although not too large to get around quickly. Access to the pacific ocean on the east side of the motu for sunrises is also possible. We also managed to get picked up from the dock for a Catamaran snorkling tour of the main lagoon & dropped back in the afternoon. My partner (now fiance) is now pressing me advise as to when can we return??? Only negative, beside the cost is that the Spa was booked out the day we wanted to attend so, recommend booking this in advance. Will definitely return in the future.…

We didn't actually stay here but attended our daughter's wedding here as her family stayed at this resort. The staff were very hospitable and made the wedding day very memorable despite the rain causing a few changes to original plans. The traditional Polynesian Wedding was simply magical and we felt privileged to be part of it. The canoe over lagoon to chapel was very romantic. The chapel has amazing view of Mt Otemanu. The overwater bungalow suites and resort is superb. Grateful to staff for finding my pearl bracelet too. If you want a touch of luxury with spectacular views then this resort ticks the boxes.

I had an excellent experience and would definitely go back. The trip was everything I wanted to be and more. The rooms were comfortable and housekeeping came twice per day. I loved the food. There were many options to choose from and three different restaurants on site. There were daily activities at the resort as well as additional activities to do on the main island. The staff was very friendly.
