Did not know what to expect but got way more than necessary. John & Jill the owners were more than welcoming, helpful and delighted to have us to stay. That's whilst also having to organise food for 2 vegetarians. We booked this stay as somewhere a little different to stay on our tour round AK and as one of the...

Visiting from England, I booked the Wilderness Lodge purely by going online and trying to find a reasonable place to stay around Tok. My goodness, how lucky was I to find this place!! John and Jill came out to meet us as we drew up in our car, and immediately made us feel so welcome. As it is a little...

John and Jill treat you like family although my family makes me help clean the dishes. The rooms are meticulously cleaned and prepared so that even staying a cabin built in the 1940's there are several flavors of tea and coco complete with cups on the wall, fresh water on the shelf and all the supplies for a nice cozy...

We found this place through the tourist center when we rode into town. We had been staying in hotels and camped (a little) for the prior 8 days- when we arrived at the Lodge we were met by John, Jill (the proprietors), their daughter and her adorable twins. As soon as we arrived we knew we had to stay longer,...

My friends and I were on a motorcycle adventure through Alaska. Our practice was to roll into the visitor center of our daily destination and search for a motel for the night. The Log Cabin Wilderness Lodge drew our attention because of it's beautiful brochure, but the visitor center also endorsed it as a beautiful retreat. It was out of...

I skied 200 miles to get here! John and Jill were wonderful hosts who provided everything a tired traveler (or probably even a well-rested one) could want. Delicious and plentiful meals, soft beds, cozy cabins, and a hot shower. Both John and Jill had tons of great information to share about the surrounding area and local history. All in all...

John and Jill went above and beyond for the weary finishers of the week-long Alaska Mountain Wilderness Ski Classic race. Not only did they provide delicious and limitless food for the famished participants, but they had showers and warm cabins ready and cheerfully accommodated all of their needs. The Log Cabin Wilderness Lodge was a relaxing place to unwind after...
