We went there for a weekend, and didn't want to find a place to camp. Most of the hotels were booked and the other option was $80 more than the room we got at this hotel. When we walked in, there was a queen bed with some nice blankets, a small TV, a little table, and a pretty good bathroom.... More

I took my parents to Valdez for two nights in the middle of August. I was fortunate to find a room for them on that weekend with tripadvisor. Most of the lodge places were booked out. The place was okey and comfortable enough. The wall is thin, we can hear the TV from next room, and people's talking in the... More

Keystone is a modular building that was originally constructed as administrative offices for the 1996 Exxon Valdez response. As hotels go, this one is economical if rather spartan. Our room was recently remodelled and clean with a nice bed and strong shower with lots of hot water. The continental breakfast was about average, but the breakfast area could have been... More

We are freezing in this place right now. The central ventilation blows cold air inside and there is no way to turn it off from the room. So we have both the noise and the cold. Yes, cold wind INSIDE the room. The receptionist gave us extra blankets, but it's still very uncomfortable. Very slow Wi-Fi. Hope to get a... More

My 73 year old parents and I came off the ferry to spend a night at the Keystone Hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with a very simple, small room with 3 beds and a bathroom. The whole building is very clean and tidy and the staff very friendly. The place was quiet, making for a great night sleep. The upstairs... More

If you think of Alaska as the Dubai of North America, then you will know that everything in Alaska is expensive. The Keystone was the cheapest place to stay in Valdez, so going before we stayed here we didn't expect much. This was originally built for the Prince William Sound oil clean up. It is a place to stay and... More

Keystone Hotel is located properly: Enjoy taking a walk with good views to local restaurants, highway, the ferry terminal and cruise ships for visiting Prince William Sound. "Easy to get to any important transportation" is always at the top of the list for the people who don't drive during the trips. Only a 5 minute walk from the Alaska Marine... More

Another oil company leftover. Staff not very friendly. Room was small with nothing other than small old beds, small TV and at least a decent shower. Walls were very thin and noisy. Breakfast was very basic. Clean, but well worn. Glad we only slept here.

Rooms are quite small but clean. My room did not have a microwave oven or a fridge. A basic breakfast is provided. Location is good. Front desk lady was not welcoming at all. Overall an average place to stay.
