Yes, I would stay here again because it is an old charm western hotel that once was a grand hotel. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Front desk man was terrific, running here and there to take care of things (elevator, check-ins, etc.). Maid forgot to do our bedroom even though we had politely asked her to do the...

We had heard so much about the Gadsden Hotel that we made a special trip to eat there. The first impression is of a historic, grand hotel with amazing stained glass, marble columns and stairs. It makes you wish you could have seen it in its prime. The dining room was a different story. Poorly maintained and cheaply remodeled, it...

Great lobby, cordial staff, subpar room. Had to ask how to turn on room heat and was provided a ceramic heater. They should have asked before I got cold and fumbled for a way to turn on a non working radiator OR should have had a ceramic heater in the room before I was cold. Also no blackout curtains and...

Spent two nights at the Gadsden this past weekend. What a wonderful old hotel in an otherwise average town. The Gadsden is a holdover from Douglas' glory days when the Copper Queen Smelter was in full production. The lobby is definitely the draw to this hotel. Beautiful architecture, high ceiling, grand marble staircase, stained glass windows and skylight highlight this...

My husband and I stayed at the Gadsden in order to attend a function over the weekend. We stayed in room 108 (facing the lobby on the second floor) which is one of the renovated rooms. The Hotel is old, charming, and the staff if very accommodating. The room itself, while updated, was small- but that is normal for historic...

The Gadsden Hotel has been on my list of hotels to visit for a while. I do love an historic hotel and the history that goes with it. Other reviews have cited its history. The elevator is the oldest one in Arizona at 109 years old. Marble columns, a marble staircase, and the Tiffany ceiling and glass windows make the...

We knew going in this hotel was pretty run down but I wasn't prepared for how bad it really is. First let me say the staff were all wonderful and the bed was actually very comfortable. The lobby is beautiful and there's lots of history to rummage through. But that's where it ends. The rooms are a disaster, not just...

We only stayed one night at this historic and beautiful hotel but it was great! Keep in mind it is old so don't expect high end accommodations. Though some rooms have been renovated within the last 2 years. Otherwise older but quaint rooms, comfortable bed and Gorgeous lobby that is all original. Tiffany glass mural and ceiling and marble staircase...

Arizona Highways recently did a feature on Hotel Gadsden, which prompted an overnight trip to stay specifically at this hotel (the highlight of Douglas). I purposely did not take into consideration the state it is in and its location (in a border-town that doesn't have the best economy) knowing that many historic hotels do not have the comforts of... say...

A trip back in time. Perhaps the friendliest hotel we've ever encountered. Everyone here LOVES their job. Don't expect lots of amenities as it is an historic, old hotel. Expect great service, spacious rooms, GREAT Mexican food in the hotel restaurant, and comfortable beds with quality linens and baht towels. There is no central heating, they provide a space heater...
