It was a truly amazing experience. Spent two days at bucklands lodge with my girlfriend and 2 friends, perfect getaway for couples or friends to enjoy. Love the high tea at Adam's krans (Spectacular views). The food was great and lodge staff were exceptional.

I recently spent three nights at Bucklands Game Reserve. I have been to numerous game reserves and National Parks throughout Africa over the years. Bucklands surpassed my expectations in every regard. Firstly you drive through a Provincial Park just to get to Bucklands which offers the reserve an added level of isolation and protection (security). I stayed in the Lodge...

MY Partner, daughter and I spent one night at Bucklands in June. Should have booked two nights as it was just wonderful!! All you see around you is beautiful Eastern Cape Bush although the Lodge is only 35 KMS from Grahamstown. Our rooms in the main Lodge were big and comfortable with huge king-size beds and excellent linen. We were...

Bucklands Private Game Reserve stands out in part because it’s one of the few private reserves in the Eastern Cape (Grahamstown) area that offers tented accommodations. And they offer both a rustic tented camp as well as a luxury tented camp. To arrive from the national highway, one travels a road that enters the Great Fish River reserve which is...

All meals were superb and varied and guests are truly made to feel welcome and special at all times. Lots of game species are present, some species just require more dedicated...

I've been here twice now and both times the level of service, quality of food, presentation of rooms and the guides' knowledge has been first class. I first came on a recommendation from Rob and Marianne Field that run Panorama guest house, where I stay in Port Alfred. They recommended it on the basis of the excellent food and that...
