Very nice and individual rooms, huge, park-like area with pool and, most importantly, an enthusiastic host, who will not leave breakfast before everybody has the perfect plan for the day! Stunning views from the terrace and friendly dogs make for a perfect experience.

Piesang Valley Lodge was for us a relax moment and a feeling to be at home with friends more than a hotel, John (the owner) helped us to organize our landscape visit and provided great advice, we had a perfect room (not big), however, perfect cocoon for us, clean and with all necessary. Breakfast on terrasse was great and we...

Staying with John and his team (including the lovely dogs) was like staying with good friends or family. We have never received such a warm welcome or such exceptional service and it seemed like John was welcoming us into his home. We are well travelled, with this being our first ever trip advisor review for good reason.

We stayed for 3 nights at Peisang Valley and were sad to leave. The owner John is committed to ensuring his guests have the best experience possible and nothing is too much trouble for him. He took time to sit with us, with a map and suggest the best places for us to visit and eat. The lodge was lovely,...

We wish we would have allocated more time in our trip to stay at the Lodge. The view from the room over piesang valley is breath taking and it's all within close proximity to excellent hiking and restaurants. John and his staff were beyond welcoming and gave us excellent ideas for the rest of our road trip through out the...

Fantastic location, beautiful pool with the most amazing view. Host John extremely welcoming and took the time to sit down and explain the local area as well as recommending restaurants. Breakfast good. Peaceful location. One thing for guests to note is that you can't really walk in to the town centre if you went out for dinner. You would need...

This lodge is probably the most welcoming place that I stayed in South Africa. The views are absolutely gorgeous, the rooms are comfortable and provide you with everything you could ever need and the breakfast is great but what really makes this place special is John the owner. He welcomes you as if you are personal guests staying in his...

Nice and clean cabin a little bit outside of Plet. Very friendly atmosphere. Nice breakfast buffet in the morning. We got great sightseeing recommendations from the owner, really appreciated! Would book again.

“Double rooms can be recommended, however you must be prepared to send your partner outside on the veranda if you need to use the bathroom (wall between bathroom and bedroom does not go all the way up to the ceiling). Self-catering unit cannot be recommended as the furnishing is extremely out-dated and the place is quite filthy.”
