I have no phone and asked a hostel I was staying at to book Gemini for me. I was right beside the lady booking the room and heard the conversation but when baz bus dropped me off the guy working said there was no reservation and no room for me. Ok then... The baz bus driver just said don't worry...

Not even taking into account that this is located in a township and taxi's full of men that weren't staying there partied there at night, one of the woman traveling with heard someone trying to open our cottage door while in the shower.... And that i found a big spider on my back while getting dressed...(I'm guessing this is why...

Dodgy area, empty place, not nice. We stayed one night and it was too much. Stayed with my boyfriend but if I had been a girl on my own there I would have felt VERY uncomfortable. Cheap, but still not worth it. Have to say at the start the guy Aaron on the desk was helpful. He went out and...

I stayed here with a group of undergraduates as part of a university project and we did not have a good experience. The area isn't very safe and the facilities are quite poor. There are a lot of local men who hang around the property at night who aren't even staying there. We had someone trying to break into several...

Didnt even bother to stay. With empty booze bottles on the grass, an on site litter dump next to the decomposing tent I wasnt particularly attracted. But having to tell the drunken staffmember that changing a bed ( we argued wether the room was clean on arrival) also includes the pillowcase nailed it for me. And with two neighbourhood youngsters...

Located right on the outskirts of Alex township, this is a very shady place to begin with. But it gets worse, there is a constant stream of strangers visiting this place for no purpose and who definitely pose a security threat to the lodgers. Drunk people will randomly walk into the "wrong" room in the middle of the night. On...

With a little bit of effort and small infusion of cash this could be a really amazing backpackers, but as it is the rooms are a little bit dark and dumpy. Make sure you get one with windows. The Internet is good though.

Got there allright and went to reception, from here on everything goes downhill... The guy didnt show up at first and when he did he left for another 5 min, we later guessed that he left to get the room <ready>. We get in the room and its absolutely freezing not mentioning the terrible smell in the room. We then...

“There are no good rooms. All of them have bathrooms with cold showers and doors that open to the outside, making them easy to break into. They don't provide any towels in the bathrooms and the beds all have very thin blankets so you freeze if you are there in the winter.”
  • Another shot of the bathroom. We had to supply the handsoap ourselves.
  • One of the bathrooms.
  • One of the rooms with a double bed and very thin blankets.
