The guesthouse is located in a nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and cafes in walking distance. The garden is amazing and there is a really friendly cat going around and greeting the guests that want to pet him. The breakfast is very good. The first room we got was really small. We were then moved to a much nicer...

You originally booked one of our budget rooms which are smaller than our other rooms. Just glad that we were able to upgrade you to one of our standard rooms. We have, in the meantime, fixed the bathroom door. Most of the walls in the main house are quite thick accept between the one room and corridor leading to one...

Thank you so much for your hospitality! It was our first stop in South Africa and an excellent way to start our trip. The day tours were a perfect way to see the caves one day and a city tour the next. Highly recommend the city tour. In a day's time, we got an excellent history lesson, experienced the culture...

Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Although note that if you stay on the street side room then it gets a bit noisy in the mornings. The breakfast was great - with a variety of cold food and also a menu to choose from for the hot breakfast. What we enjoyed the most was the location of...

Thank you for your great comments! We are working on the noise problem in this particular room and plan to put double glazing in the sliding door to prevent the morning traffic from waking up guests.

Perhaps a lady with a baby on her back is not the ideal person to welcome guests. It's not very professional, unless that is what you want to portray. The breakfast staff were excellent, however, and the breakfast was delicious.

The staff do not usually welcome guests with a baby on their back. We apologize! This was an unfortunate exception when the lady on duty had no one to look after her baby after hours for 2 days. When this was brought to my attention, we sorted it out and made alternative arrangements to help her. We are glad that...

My husband and I stayed at Ginnegaap Guesthouse for 1 night. We arrived relatively late in the evening and were still warmly greeted by the staff. Breakfast here is delicious with hot food that can be order and fantastic coffee. The room was a great size with plenty of room for the both of us.

Great location, clean, value for money. We didn't have breakfast but was a great experience overall. If we had more time, it would have been a great place to go out at night. Lots of good restaurants in the area!

Ginnegaap is our go-to guesthouse when staying in JHB to attend concerts as it is so close to FNB stadium. The rooms are huge, modern and beautifully decorated with each one having a different theme and offer privacy and tranquility in a bustling area. Breakfasts are delicious and healthy!

A comfortable stay with a great breakfast and good information from the owners and staff about what to do and how to get around. On their suggestion, we wandered down acouple of blocks to a street of bars, cafes, funky shops and restaurants every night we were there. Really enjoyed our stay.
