The hostel is in a nice neighborhood and is near a mall and a Gautrain Station. But not seems to be a hostel because some people live there. I think is just a lodge not a hostel. When I was there some weird situations happened. The first was less serios: someone didn't respect the advice on the fridge to not...

I stayed for one night, I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable and I got to meet other international guests, which was fun. I will definitely stay here again and can recommend to anyone on a budget. A beautifully maintained garden and pool area to relax and unwind.

Thankfully we stayed there only one night, because an extra night would have been horrible. We had booked a separate room, which would have been great except that the room window was right opposite the dormitory room. This resulted in extreme noise from the moment we checked in till 4am, where we heard drunk people fighting, loud music and also...

I travelled a little around SA and found this very reasonable backpacker in Johannesburg. Basic ...but clean and conveniently located close to Rosebank Mall. The rooms are very basic but beds are comfortable and the room is clean. A little cold but I was able to request an extra blanket from reception. The price was great and the staff were...

I arrived on Tuesday the 3rd of May 2016 and stayed until 7th May 2016. I asked for a single room with a private bathroom.Thereafter I was informed that its R392 per night. I asked again whether its the correct price for a single room and i was reassured that it is.Only to find out in the room that there...

Find somewhere else to stay. I booked a room for 6 nights at the Rosebank Backpacker. After only 2 nights I had to check out and find other accommodation. I understand now why they have a no refunds policy. The "parking" that they offer is ridiculous. You must drive through the gate and, while on an incline, attempt to fit...

Im travelling with the Bazbus and every place until Rosebank Backpackers have been fantastic! Arrived early, dorm was just getting ready. Once I got the room, there were still no bedlinens and it was hair, dirt and insects everywhere. Backpackers or not, this was disgusting - worst I've ever seen! Left for lunch, and when I came back the dorm...

Hmmm where do I begin?? - Rosebank is an awesome area as far as city living goes - clean, seeming safe and close to the malls and shops and transport routes like taxis and the Gautrain. Problems with he backpackers : little or no kitchen utensils - always needed to ask. Wifi was unrealiable and this day and age they...

initially came here as a base to look for appartments because we were relocating to johannesburg. the staff was unfriendly, had to repeatedly ask for receipts when we paid. they never had any change in the till so we overpaid every single time unless we had exact money. after a couple of days we found out the staff was stealing...
