The hotel is ridiculously priced. Rooms and conference venue included. The food is buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it's not the best. It sits out for a long time so by the time you eat it it's dry. You are given a Wi-Fi password for your room but you can't even connect to it. The wi-fi in the...

My daughter and I stayed at the Sunnyside Hotel to be close to Wits university. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The buffet dinner had a huge delicious selection. The buffet breakfast was just as good. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful historical building with manicured gardens. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed in the new block overlooking the Car Park, and above the function room. Although there was a wedding reception with dancing taking place on one of the nights, we were not disturbed by any noise. The breakfasts were extremely good with ample selection, and the public areas were spacious. The gardens surrounding the original building were attractively laid out,...

Dear Geoff t Thank you for taking the time to post such a positive and meaningful response regarding your experience with the Sunnyside Park Hotel. Everything was lukewarm - bath water, room(no working aircon) and red wine. Rooms urgently need attention - carpets dirty and damaged, broken light fitting. Booking system is a mess as I was confused with another person and although I have paid more than a week ago was sent an email at 20:30 at night to provide proof of payment. Suspect...

Of course there are other hotels in the greater Johannesburg area, but considering it is the only hotel in the business area where I had a meeting early in the morning, and the early traffic in Johannesburg is busiest in Africa.... No choice. Nested in a nice secluded front garden as the entrance, that always a good impression. The reception...
