My wife and I have been going to Mountain Sanctuary Park once or twice a year for over 8 years now, and we are never disappointed in camping sites, the ablution are always clean and the natural beauty of the park is stunning. There are many beautiful spots in the Park and nice hiking trails with a variety of terrains...

This is a gem of a place. Stayed overnight with our camper van. There is no loud music allowed which gives you more time to listen to the sounds of the wildlife. The monkeys can be a bit of a nuisance as one got into the camper and stole a packet of SIMBA chips, so keep things closed. The hiking...

I enquired about a booking, and the proximity and detail of a hiking trail I thought was nearby the sanctuary, only to be told that it is like asking an 'Asba' I think he meant ABSA consultant to explain a Standard Bank Investment to me, (which I'm pretty sure they would be able to do because they would have knowledge...

Love this place. Cabins, camping, accommodation for everyone. The walks are beautiful, the pool is kiddie friendly with a big shallow end and a café to buy ice cream and drinks. Quiet and limited in number of people so always pleasant. Very nice ablution facilities for campers.

I would like to say that the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, pleasant, kind, accommodating, considerate, thoughtful and caring. That's what we honestly experienced. Thank you Izak(Manager). Much appreciated. The camping sites were very clean. Spacious camping sites with lots of shade. Mountain Sanctuary Park just 2 hours from Johannesburg. Not far at all. We came specially from Umhlanga Rocks...

Facilities: The best part of this trip for me was the proximity to central Johannesburg (approx. 2 hours). We stayed in the cozy cabins which were pristine and well stocked with dishes. The rooms sleep four people comfortably and are very well priced. We were near to the bathrooms, which were also kept extremely clean. While there was no sink...

Couldn't have had a better romantic getaway! We stayed in Log Cabin 4 which has all your basic amenities, great breeze through the cabin which is kitted out with fans, cutlery, microwave, braai, outside chairs etc. Amazing long hikes (or short if you prefer!). Stunning pools! Bit of a climber's paradise as well. And such a gorgeous swimming pool which...

The campsite is shady and spacious and the wardens will do their best to look after you! The park itself is breathtaking - the rock pools are tranquil, shaded and great for a dip, and you'll be almost completely alone wandering around the beautiful rock formations. I walked up the mountain here on a Saturday afternoon and didn't see another...

I can go into a lot of detail, but I will rather just summarise our experience: a) I respect rules and regulations, but it can be softened and set in the positive! The "NO", "NOT", "BEWARE" etc were a bit much b) Quality of accommodation & bath towels are poor. c) Overpriced for what one gets d) No cleaner in...

We went camping here, a short drive from Johannesburg. The scenery and hiking is great, as is the common pool. Ablution facilities are standard for a camping site. Our chained up mountain bikes were stolen from our camp in the night, but the owner and security made quite the effort to search and find leads for us (to no avail).
