Lovely setting. Was impressed with the welcoming staff attitude. I pre-ordered champagne for room on arrival and was not done. Had to phone several times for them to eventually bring it through. Rooms are spacious but too dark. Need more lights. Food quality is very good and the room service menu a great selection.

The ambiance of the vast premises offers a relaxing stay irrespective of lower than expected service levels and maintenance. We had a great time in a splendid setting a stone throw away from Pretoria/Johannesburg. A gem due to a different concoction of amenities and interesting areas to explore.

I was very impressed with the welcoming and the staff attitude. Very good room service. Overall food was of a good standard. A special mention to the Chef from India at Gin Box who made a very nice special chicken curry. May be the lodge must open an indian cuisine restaurant where he will definitely excel. Room very nice and...

Second time i have visited for work. Enjoyed the forest-like look. With chalets nestled between them. Great environment and wonderful team. Phone reception not great in the rooms, and no wifi at the room. Otherwise, Highly recommended

Misty Hills accommodation is very good. In fact, apart from the Intercon Hotel in Nairobi, and the Crystal Serenity cruise ship, I have never slept on such a comfy bed. I haven't been to the Carnivore (in Muldersdrift) for ages. It is still a really spectacular place to take your foreign visitors, even after all the years. I have 2...

I had been to Misty Hills to go to Carnivore for a dinner a few months ago and was really struck with how much it resembled a safari lodge, but just outside Jo'burg rather than a few plane transfers away. I certainly didn't expect 5* luxury, but there was something perversely appealing about staying in a pretend-safari setting that I...

Decided spur of the moment to spend one night to get away from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg. Was worth it, right from the moment we arrived. Had lunch and Meshack kindly set a table for us outside on the grass. The room was absolutely exquisite my girlfriend absolutely loved the sunken bath

It's a shame because this hotel could be OK with some guidance and general logic. They need to start with "hotel basics for dummies". If they could do something /anything wrong or not at all this is where they excelled. It's a tacky version of Jurassic Park with prehistoric service standards. Just don't waste your money and try one of...

Unfortunately we only spent one night at the Misty Hills Country Hotel but it made a good impression. The resort looks like a small village with huts in the woods. The bungalows were spacious and somewhat clean. There was some mould in the shower that showed that the hotel is some years old. In general it is hard to judge...
