During my business trip in July, I stayed at the Oasis. No complaints... very nice setting, comfortable rooms. Very attentive staff, there are lots of options in Johannesburg, and the Oasis is certainly one worth staying at.

I recently stayed here for three weeks on business and had a very satisfying experience. I could sum up the Oasis by simply saying that I had the impression that the owners have not looked at this simply as a business but they see everything as if they were guests themselves and thought "what would we like to see?". This...

Thank you for your positive comments. We love that you have recognised the fact that we create an experience that is out of the ordinary. Silver cutlery is just one way we can show that our guests are important to us and need to be spoiled with life's little pleasures. Looking forward to your next visit. Kind regards, Anita

The Oasis was one of the first guest house I stayed when started travelling to SA. Since 3 years and at least 12 stays here, it definitely became the place I enjoyed the most. Ideally located with easy access to the highways to go to Pretoria, 15 minutes’ drive to access Sandton and Mandela Square, you do not realize that...

You are always most welcome! Not every guest house owner can boast about a regular supply of sublime French cheese every few months! Thank you for your continued support and encouragement (and for the cheese!) Looking forward to seeing you again in September.

My wife and I have travelled pretty far and wide, but one of the most luxurious and tasetfully decorated venues that boasts an undoubtedly unparralelled superior wine collection, is the Oasis. And they don't charge an arm and a leg like similar styled venues. Apart from the usual friendly banter upon arrival and the grinning Dalmations meeting us at the...

Thank you - as always, we are delighted that you choose to come back here again and again! You inspire us with you comments and find you both to be most generous with your praise. I will pass the message on to Owen - he is a talented young man who really has brought a new dimension to The Oasis....

Just returned back to UK after 2 week business trip in Joburg. OASIS came on a recommendation and it's very easy to do the same. Located in a quiet suburb, this superb guest-house has the ability to make you feel both safe & relaxed amongst a beautiful setting. From the moment you enter, you are completely taken care of. Relaxed,...

It was an absolute pleasure to host you and your (often changing) team. We love having friendly, positive people around and we are always thrilled when people look comfortable and "at home". Thank you for your photos of the parrots! I have posted them on FB! Kind regards, Anita

This was my second stay at Oasis and every time they have kept their 5 Star standard. Everything is always in its place, the service is great, my room was always clean and I love the art, antiques, breakfast buffet and 24/7 snacks! Their secret is in the fine details on which they always deliver. I will definitely be booking...

Thank you for a wonderful stay at the Oasis Guesthouse. It was truly magical. Anita, Graham and Alexandra thank you for the lovely assistance from booking all the way to check out. I really felt at home. I especially loved having access in and out of the complex with the little side door. The guesthouse was very homely and I...

Our visit (for three days may not have been representative as Anita was not well at the time. The staff were generally attentive, the facilities were fine but the atmosphere was disappointing. To a degree that we did not experience elsewhere, the security arrangements were intrusive.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We trust that you enjoyed watching your son play rugby in South Africa. We will certainly be looking out for him the next time they play. One of the main reasons travelers to Johannesburg (particularly, females) choose The Oasis, is for the security measures we have in place. The safety...

This was the first time I stayed in a guest house and the experience was fantastic. The owners, Anita, Greyham and Alexandra, as well as the staff make one feel at home. The place is finely decorated and surrounded by lush green gardens in which there is a lapa (typical African thatched roof hut where you can sit to relax,...

This was our first experience in a guest house, we did not know what to expect. Me and my family of four, all adults, decided to stay here during a short visit to Johannesburg. Definitively, we found a true Oasis. Our first impression was that of arriving to our own home. Not only due to comfort, elegance and service, we...
