Check in was fast and efficient with a choice of beverage offered. The lounge was closed for refurb which was not communicated at time of booking but this didn't really affect me. The public areas are still well maintained and modern. As for the rooms there is dated and then there is very dated and their rooms are the latter....

This will be my 3rd visit to Sandton for the annual DISCOP Television Market. The first year I stayed at the "host" hotel. Although, touted as the "best", I was disappointed. Last year I tried the Michaelangelo and was absolutely delighted. It was truly wonderful from the desk staff, to the room and the restaurants. As a native New Yorker,...

The hotel overall is ok but for the price there are a few let downs. The main public areas of reception and bar are cold with air con set way too low. The choice of restaurants for eating is not great, that said the main restaurant is really good. Rooms are ok but a little basic for the star rating...

We are a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids and was trying to book a stay there. When i called to make a reservation they said i need to book 2 separate room which makes no sense as it would mean each parent needs to stay in a different room with one child. Very stupid rule.

We stayed twice in this hotel during our one-week trip to South Africa and the experience was great in both occasions. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and the pillows a relaxing pleasure. The quality of the service and the attention payed to each guest is to be commended.
