I stayed at this hotel for two nights, its very basic and looks old and dirty. I was very disappointed and did not enjoy the place at all. The reception desk people did not have answers to most questions and I was even check in to someone's room when I checked in.

Nice hotel with a tiny room. Though it had everything I needed. Most importantly it was clean and serviced daily. Though I had a long walk from the entrance to the room (via nice tea garden) it is not wheelchair friendly as there are a lot of stairs to walk.

If they can do anything in SA, it's marketing!! Look at the propaganda for this place by all means, but don't believe it. Durban centre is certainly not what it once was and that is true for this place, yes the antique furniture is there, as is the sweeping staircase, but everything is battered and bruised. Certainly don't eat here!... More

The colonial façade of the Durban Manor is tempting and enticing. As you enter the premises, you can’t help but feel being transported back a century ago. The antique furniture have stories to tell and the grand staircase and sitting room must have ushered in countless individuals in the days of yore. Even as you hear cars drive past the... More

This hotel screams of former grandeur. Certainly past its prime and in need of an update but still has its charms. When we arrived too late to go out to eat we were nervous, but sitting at the old glamorous bar we were served one of the best 1/2 chicken meals I've ever had by a very accommodating and nice... We were only looking for a hotel that is closest to the harbour, where we can have an overnight stay. This was beginning of Feb this year. The hotel must have been grand many decades ago. The furniture decidedly vintage, maybe even some antiques. The receptionist is fairly pleasant. Prior, we asked them to arrange pick up from airport and... More

Incompetent, Lazy and Rude staff. Ants in the room! Only one Towel for two people!? No bed lamps!? Had to request Toilet paper and extra towels on numerous occasions. No remote for the gate, with a useless security sitting with his back to the gate playing games on his phone. I would not go back even if you pay me... More

We checked in on the 5th of March in room 23. The room and the location was not so bad, but it was just a bit small. What was a turn-off about the place was the following: We did not get a remote for the air-conditioner, they said they could not locate it. Secondly I called the reception to request... More
