Had a fantastic time at Makhasa Game Reserve and Logde. The staff was exceptional, especially Betty and our guide Siya who made us(my husband and I) feel right at home. The meticulous attention to detail and going the extra mile is commendable. Although we didn't see any of the game we were hoping to see but the experience was memorable....

Beautifully decorated, stylish and peaceful. Our 'bungalow' was on the path that the Nyala took to get to the watering hole (close to the restaurant/lounge deck) so we spent hours reading our books on our 'balcony' and watching the buck (monkeys/tortoises/birds) wander past. Didn't see much other game although heard the hyena - luckily none visited our hut! Particularly enjoyed...

Our family thoroughly enjoyed 2 nights at Makhasa. It was very relaxing, the food was delicious and the staff great. We all loved sitting on the verandah watching the game come to drink. Unfortunately the drought has taken it's toll and we didn't see much game on our drives. However Ngcebo was excellent and did his best.

My husband and I spent a most enjoyable week-end at Makhasa. The staff were all amazing and very attentive. We enjoyed all the meals. On the first evening we had a delicious butternut soup to start, followed by a bacon wrapped chicken fillet. The dessert was a heavenly yogurt cheese cake. The following night we enjoyed a fabulous dinner in...

Very pleasant weekend spent at Makhasa Game reserve. The rooms are great as are the staff. Lodge setting is very good and only the game drive was a little disappointing. Highly recommended for a reasonably authentic stay in the bush.

We spent a lovely weekend with some friends in mid-May at Makhasa and were greeted with enthusiasm by the staff and made to feel very welcome. The facilities were lovely, food was great and the staff very knowledgeable on the flora and fauna. We found it very relaxing sitting on the deck of the main lodge and being able to...

Mkhasa is the best place to experience 'in the bush with luxury'. For starters we were greeted by Bettie, a warm and lovely lady who we later got to share many of our interesting wildlife stories with. Thebo (excuse the spelling) was so knowledgeable and always curious and happy in sharing his knowledge with us (especially his knowledge of star...
