We recently stayed at this lodge for four nights and were delighted with the entire experience. The rooms were spacious and easily accessible from the main lodge. The lodge is conveniently close to the main Hluhluwe National Park and on our first morning we drove there and met a guide who took us around the park for three-four hours. We...

With Team Isuzu we usually roughing it out in the great outdoors or in a backpackers, so to find this kind of luxury in the bush and at such an...

We stayed in "planter's camp", self catering accommodation just over a kilometre into the grounds from the main lodge. It is amazing! Thinking we had booked the budget option, we were blown away to find spacious chalets with a private swimming pool, fire and barbecue area and a shared kitchen. There's a maid who goes above and beyond, even setting...

A Kruger National Park ranger once confessed how much he misses the bushveld of Northern KwaZulu-Natal. The sights, sounds and smells are uniquely rural African and you are instantly transported into a different world. We are travelling North and as we turn into Hluhluwe River Lodge’s game park we instantly feel what he is talking about. This is wild country,...

A weekend was just too short! Next time will have to be at least a week - we will be back! Our room was heavenly - loved the gorgeous ball and claw bath with a view! The decor of the lodge as a whole is so pleasing - including the stylish and comfy seated areas on the deck with well-stocked...

We stayed for 4 nights and used the Lodge as a base to explore the area. We loved the bush setting and privacy of the rooms (the kids really enjoyed having their own) and the beautiful view from the dining area.
