We spent 3 relaxing days at Masizwane Lodge. Mike, Arlene, Greg and the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the team. The game drives and walks in the sand forest were very interesting and I learnt a lot of new facts about the bush. The accommodation was comfortable and the huge white mosquito nets make the...

My husband and I spent two nights at Masizwane Lodge! Arlene and Mike's hospitality and friendliness was like being at home. Greg took us on a gamedrive and we learnt a lot of interesting facts about the animal and birdlife as well as the field. The chef cooked up a storm in the kitchen, the rumpsteak was sooo tender and...

My husband and I spent four nights at Masizwane in January 2014. it was absolute Bliss. Arlene, Mike, Greg, Gaby and the rest of the staff runs the lodge very successfully. Such good people it was like "home away from home". Warm, welcoming and always went that "extra mile" Arlene could not have done any more to make our stay...

I treated my husband to 4 nights at Masizwane Lodge for 4 nights from New Year's Eve 2013. Despite a change of ownership and budget restrictions, the lodge staff was welcoming, attentive and very helpful. Our room was gorgeous: pristine white linen with a clean white mosquito net and crisp white towels, the most comfortable of beds, choice of indoor...

We stayed at the lodge for a weekend and from the time we arrived we were met with such bad and rude service. Arlene checked us in and in the process she received a phone call where she was swearing and was upset to which she apologised. We were checked into room 10 which was beautiful and in pristine condition...

A truely surprising experience deep in the African Bush. Although there is only electricity abailable for three hours at night and one hour in the morning, we adopted to it and loved the quiet, tranquil atmosphere. The bonus game drive through Thembe was a very interresting and educational experience. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Very much worth a...

Situated right on the border with Tembe Elephant reserve, in far northern KZN, this delighful little lodge is perfect place to unwind. It is extremely well managed and taken care of despite the very limited resources. The game drives are very informative and the guide is passionate about his job. Units are private and beautifully furnished and the enclosed outdoor...

While not actually in Tembe, in the absolute privacy of one's bush-surrounded chalet, it's hard to believe that you're not. But it's only a few k's to Tembe anyway, and we enjoyed both guided and self-driven drives in the park, and had really exceptional sightings at the southern waterhole. The birdlife was magnificent, both at the lodge and in the...
