We spent four nights at the lodge and experienced quality in all aspects. Nice environment, close to shops, minutes from waterfront. Great breakfasts, dinner option also available. A dining area, bar and swimming pools in a peaceful environment. We'll be back👍

A friend of mine recommended this place and we made reservations with Vanessa who was absolutely amazing throughout. I would recommend it to anyone visiting, who wants peace and quiet, a getaway with friends, we stayed in the self catering unit and it was absolutely clean. I always prefer guesthouses or lodges over fancy hotels because they give you that...

I stayed in room 12. It was grimy and linen needs replacing. The bedside light was broken. The food was very average. I was disappointed. Ive stayed here a year ago but it has since deteriorated. The pool area is pretty but vrry kitch and cluttered. I wont stay here again. This entire lodge could do with a revamp. BEV MOORE

I have recently had the opportunity to stay at Umhambi Lodge. The setting was superb, with all one could ask for. Prior to making the booking we googled for accommodation in Richardsbay and Umhambi was the place to stay. Being involved in International Tourism with inbound tourist going on Safari with Shingelani Safaris (www.shingelani-safaris.com) we always are looking for those...

Good location, lovely pool area and if you get the right room you will have a great stay. Service is good, but if you don't ask you don't get. I was assigned the room next to the reception which was somewhat noisy with no view at all. Room was cluttered and smallish and somewhat conjested, The reception could do with...

The property is beautiful and naturally rustic. We had a cabin with 2 bedrooms and it was decorated nicely, very clean and updated. the swimming pools are inviting and the staff is extremely helpful. Nice breakfast. Internet wi-fi not so good. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on-high density foam.

Food excellent, rooms are wooden huts, which make it very dark if you need to do written or computer work. It's a personal preference, but I don't like animal skins and displayed and birds in cages, which they have in the grounds. For that reason, I won't be staying there again

I have stayed here a couple of times while on Business in Richards Bay. Staff has always been friendly and gone out of their way to help. Rooms are clean, and you will definitely get a good night's rest.

We went to Umhambi for a team building event and we loved every bit of our stay. We always felt welcome at the lodge and the ambience was beautiful. We got what we bargained for - a great stay amidst nature and a peaceful setting.

“Google your type of accommodation you require prior to making a booking in general, and communicate your specific needs to the establishment to prevent being unhappy. The Presedential Suite is my first choice as it is well away from the main road, near the dining area and pool. This room is also very GRAND”

“Rooms in the hotel is noisy - ask for one on the outside. The best room may very well be the honeymoon suite :-)”
