An amazingly beautiful location centred on a delightful lodge nestled amongst some amazing trees. We had a honeymoon suite which was beautifully appointed featuring an antique four poster bed. Sadly the mattress was from the same era. Accommodation should critically focus on restful sleep and consequently we felt very let down. Added to the negativity was that the doorway to...

We stayed two nights here to explore and hike the Blyde river canyon area. The lodge was charming, quiet on beautiful grounds. Meals were incredible, pool was lovely. We thought our safari had ended but found impala, zebra, baboons, bushbuck, wildebeest and kudu in and around the lodge. Vicky was very helpful in arranging transport to boat tour and hiking...

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage for 3 nights and absolutely loved every aspect of our stay. The cottage has 2 levels, the upper accessed via a very steep staircase, so bear this in mind if there are any mobility issues. The top bedroom is divine with a bath with a view and a lovely veranda looking out to...

Four of us stayed in the cottage which had a fantastic main bedroom but a disappointing small/cramped second double room. The cottage had no dishcloth to dry any utensils and the stoop was not cleaned or the furniture properly rearranged the following day. The TV in the lounge was also minute. The breakfast was 4-star standard and the dinner was...

Our family of five stayed for one night at the Lodge's Hillside House. The private house is located 10kms from the lodge and provided on a self-catering basis. The house is large and comfortable with a swimming pool, but isolated. The metal bars on all the windows and the heavy metal sliding doors across the patio doors and front door...

Booked 5 nights here and never regretted it. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and set in a very nice garden with mountain views. We booked the honeymoon suite which was actually a slightly bigger room than the other rooms available and was nicely furnished with bar fridge TV etc Internet here was fine and better than other areas in South...

This was overall a nice experience. Driving into the lodge is a bit of a hassle - there is a somewhat lengthy (5-10 minutes) process to get through the security gate. We were warmly welcomed with a drink and promptly shown our room. We were in the cottage which was quite nice and....huge! There is an upstairs bedroom, complete with...

Enjoyed two nights here in November. Our hosts, a lovely Australian couple, created a warm and friendly atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, attractive and well appointed. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the hotel restaurant is open for dinners. The menu is varied and interesting, and very tasty, my compliments to the chef. Not only did we enjoy delicious food...

Our group of six stayed for four nights at the Lodge's Hillside House - we had it to ourselves with the most excellent .... "Excellent and Lizbeth", the live-in staff who catered to our needs. At first 10kms seems far away from the lodge, but in fact, it is a straight and simple road, not even 10 minutes away and...

We stayed here for 2 nights so we could do the boat trip around the dam which was well worth doing and allowed us to see the scenery from a different angle. Although the accommodation was nice and the place was in a lovely location with zebra wandering around the grounds there were one or two niggles that made my...
