Excellent and relaxing stay, thoroughly enjoyed the pool especially when the Zebra's visited. The food was excellent and all the staff could not have been more helpful. They were very happy to organise all our trips and we especially enjoyed our visit to the waterfalls which they recommended.

We only got to spend two nights here but what a beautiful place! It is a little way from other civilisation so we chose to have our meals here also and that turned out to be a great decision, fantastic food in a stunning setting. The local Zebra paying you a visit in the evenings is an added bonus. Comfortable,...

Very nice place in the middle of the wild. We could observe zebra from the pool of the lodge. The service is also great: I've left some clothes in this lodge and Vicky M. (from the staff) sent them out through the post so that I can get them back in Cape Town at another hotel. Very helpful and dedicated!...

Used as a stop off en route to our game reserve stay as part of visiting along the panoramic route. We only booked it as we were struggling to find something that met our timetable but what a great find it was. Nestled in a secluded secure hideaway, it was like immersing yourself in another world full of calm. The...

We recently visited Blyde River Canyon Lodge and could not fault it. The property is tranquil and the location quite superb. We wished we had stayed longer. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we received great service at all times, including for any special requests we made. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view...

Good choice when driving between Jo’burg and Kruger Park. We stayed one night at the Loft, with more privacy than the regular rooms. Really huge (32 square meters) and lovely decorated. It’s nice to see the zebras right by the pool and the monkeys all around the lodge. Several easy trails right on site. Delicious breakfast, very complete with a...

Our mistake not staying more than one night here. Arrived late after a long rewarding drive through Kruger Nat Pk. Lovely setting, great food & very comfortable accommodation. Excellent value too. The only down side is a charge for wifi/internet connection. If we come this way again will stay longer.

The location of Blyde River Canyon Lodge is excellent: secluded in botanical reserve where you can see many Trees and Flowers but also Wildebeast, Antelopes, Monkeys and Zebras. This very special place and the Zebras coming to the garden and drinking out of the pool together with the grat hospitality of the team are a good compensation for the rather...

My wife and I and son his partner stayed at Blyde River Canon Lodge after we stayed at Thorny Bush. I just wish now I would have booked 2 more nights. The rooms are very rooms, and homely. The hotel restaurant is very cosy and open. The food is of a high standard. We walked down to the river from...
