Good choice when driving between Jo’burg and Kruger Park. We stayed one night at the Loft, with more privacy than the regular rooms. Really huge (32 square meters) and lovely decorated. It’s nice to see the zebras right by the pool and the monkeys all around the lodge. Several easy trails right on site. Delicious breakfast, very complete with a...

Our mistake not staying more than one night here. Arrived late after a long rewarding drive through Kruger Nat Pk. Lovely setting, great food & very comfortable accommodation. Excellent value too. The only down side is a charge for wifi/internet connection. If we come this way again will stay longer.

The location of Blyde River Canyon Lodge is excellent: secluded in botanical reserve where you can see many Trees and Flowers but also Wildebeast, Antelopes, Monkeys and Zebras. This very special place and the Zebras coming to the garden and drinking out of the pool together with the grat hospitality of the team are a good compensation for the rather...

My wife and I and son his partner stayed at Blyde River Canon Lodge after we stayed at Thorny Bush. I just wish now I would have booked 2 more nights. The rooms are very rooms, and homely. The hotel restaurant is very cosy and open. The food is of a high standard. We walked down to the river from...

Blyde river canyon was a great stopover on our way to Sabi sands and kruger. We really enjoyed our night at the lodge and could have stayed longer. The friendly staff helped with advance bookings for cruise and endangered species centre - both of which were excellent. We stayed in the huge 2bed cottage which was great - however the...

We only stayed there for one night but it was a very good choice. It's a very nice lodge with a pool and a nature park around. At sunset zebras came to the pool and were grazing and drinking. We got the upstairs room right under the roof which was a bit random. It was tidy and clean though. The...

It's the second time I have visited the lodge, and will probably go back for a third and fourth time. Great view, friendly staff, clean room and good wifi reception. The single rooms are rather small, but do provide everything you require - unfortunately this time around I received a room where the TV and DSTV does not work.

Room was rather small and the pillows were hard as rocks. Zebra walked right up to the pool and other small antelope were grazing on the grounds. Food was very good and the location is great. The staff were very nice. Although it was cold, the hot water bottles provided at bedtime did the trick.

we startet our south africa & mozambique tour with this lodge. our accomodation was very nice, A little bit old fashioned but to be recommendable, up the hill with a good surround view and an own garden areal. Take care for the baboons - they will take any chance to get into your rooms. formerly guests forgot to pay attention...

The hotel is set up in a style thats a throwback to the bygone era of bush lodges, it's cozy, warm, beautifully designed and intimate, all within the grounds that has a very tranquil setting.Wished we had stayed for longer.
