My wife and I stayed at Matumi as part of our safari package to Kruger. Very nice accommodations. Very clean with shower and in room AC. The lodge also has a pool, bar, and dining area which are all also very nice. The staff was great and really looked after you. As others mentioned, there is free wifi which was...

Loved, loved, loved this place. The staff are amazing and so kind. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The rooms are clean and spacious. The food was delicious. The bbq prepared just for us was so yummy. I would go back to this lodge just for the staff - I hope they'll still be there next...

We stayed 3 nights at the beginning of August. The setting and the rooms were charming, the atmosphere was very peaceful and the food was good. Principally, however, the stay was made for us by the genuine welcome from all the staff and their attention to our welfare. We had the misfortune to be unwell as we arrived and for...

I spent 3 nights here as part of an Intrepid tour to Kruger Park and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My thatched cottage was charming and clean, with all the basics, although the shower could have been a little hotter. The bed was very comfortable and included a draped mosquito net (not required in the cold weather). The staff went...

Our party of three adults were accommodated at very short notice at Matumi with no fuss, indeed with a genuinely warm welcome, despite our party including two vegetarians needing an evening meal within a couple of hours of first contacting the lodge, and despite it being braai night! Quentin the chef was extremely helpful and welcoming, keeping us informed of...

Matumi Lodge is a pretty cool place to stay. Its a private little spot up a bumpy dirt road in what seems to be the middle of the wild. Which is a good thing. It is well manicured and looks the part. There is a pool and a fire pit, a bar and dinning room. All are nice and traditionally...

The Matumi Lodge is a great place to stay when you're visiting Kruger Park. What sets it apart is the kind and friendly staff who work tirelessly to ensure guests are comfortable. On more than one occasion, the staff went well out of their way to make our visit an exceptional one. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour and while the actual rooms are lovely, there's definitely room for improvement. Mostly around the bar and restaurant. The menu feels like it was developed in the 70s and only offers one choice per night which is not particularity well cooked. The kitchen could use some help getting the lodge up...

I spent 5 days in Matumi Lodge and it was a very pleasant time. The lodge has all the commodities including a nice swimming pool.
