Burchell's Bush Lodge was awesome. It exceeded all our expectations. This is a bush lodge. Please don't expect a bask-in-the-sun, poolside & cocktails experience. Go to the Caribbean if that's what you are looking for. This place was clean, the staff was amazing and the location was spectacular.

Family and friends stayed over for 3 days. Very friendly staff with help to unload car and take luggage to the house. Very neat with all you need and aircons in the rooms which is a life saver. Also has a very nice braai outside that adds to the bush experience. Cleaning service very efficient. About 500 m to the...

Stayed in unit 23 as a Timeshare Owner of week 51 who exchanged for January 2017. As this timeshare is on the same property as Protea Mariott Hotel Kruger Gate, one would expect to be part of the Hotel. Big was our surprise that this was indeed the contrary. At our arrival, we were told at the Entrance Gate to...

This is a very rustic lodge and very secluded. The Paul Kruger Gate is about 2 k's away. Units well equipped and comfortable. Unfortunately there is no aircon in the living area, only in the bedrooms so in the hot months from Nov to Mar it will be hot. Staff are very helpful. Saw Kudu, Impala & Bush Buck wondering...

The area is in the grip of a severe drought, but the accommodation is cool and comfortable, and the pool very welcome. Birdlife, usually prolific in this area, was somewhat scarce because of the drought. Small-spotted genets are known to become very confiding and tame around sites like these and we had one visiting every evening. A greater bushbaby also...

Burchells is perfectly positioned for trips to Kruger, being only a few hundred metres from the gate. Comfortable lodges, with a full service of the chalet everyday. Enjoyable swimming pool. Welcome visits from monkey and meerkats

Had three nights here as part of a package tour. Great food in the restaurant and the boma. Entertained one evening by local song and dance troupe. Great to relax and view some of the wildlife from the bar and viewing platforms. Rooms clean and beds comfortable. Also a small shop (no tat). The proximity to Kruger gate meant that...

A very enjoyable week. Amenities more than adequate. Staff very friendly and visible. Chalet was clean and neat. A pleasure to be close to nature with hours of peace. The bar and lookout deck at the hotel was the ideal place to relax and view.

“There is no internet available on-site. The resort next door is available with internet & restaurant. Be sure to bring the right electrical convertors. Three prong, not 2. This was unclear in all the sources we checked.”
