We stayed for two nights on a tour trough South-Africa, and liked the "upper deck-style" of the construction in which the reception, lobby, bar & resto was located. The tent and accessories were appropriate; in- en outdoor shower, reasonable bed, private outdoor deck. The distance inbetween the tents is rather short so we could hear every move and cough from...

We stayed at Nkambeni for 4 nights in January 2015. We had a great time; service was great. This is not a "first class" type resort; its a value-for-money, child-friendly, more-than-good-enough place to use as a base for your Kruger safari!

Tented accommodation was a pleasant surprise. Unit furnished to give a cosy feel. Was surprisingly warm & snug. Buffet style meals have plenty of options for all. Great dining area & ovetall good value for money. Will return.

The Nkambeni Tented camp is adjoining the world famous Kruger National Park in South Africa and provides an excellent stop over for a couple of nights to enjoy game viewing in the open land cruisers. It is a little spread out and is what could be called "rustic" in its surroundings, but the meals and facilities are first rate. If...

This camp is literally on the doorstep of Kruger National Park. This makes it a good alternative option to stay should you not be able to get a place inside. The menu is fair and the food is great. Their Buffet dinner is large, well prepared and tasty. They also have alternative options like a "bush" barbeque and a "Boma"...

The tents are luxurious and the bedding & furniture are very good quality. The kids loved the outdoor shower, there’s an indoor one as well. The food is plentiful and good South African cooking. Staff is friendly & the lodge is kept tidy & clean. The swimming pool is overlooking a hippo pool! Thanks Zoey, Laura, Jaimie, Chris and team!

At first I was worried about the walk from the room to the dining hall to go eat but again one needs a bit of walking after eating. My kids had fun and the stuff was very warm from cleaning , cooking up to the ones at reception. It was more special with them playing with my18 month old baby....

I stayed at the lodge during the Africa Safari Guide of the Year competition. I usually travel a bit more upscale, but I was positively surprised. Clean tents that had everything one could need. The rooms had heat / cooling. Very helpful, friendly and accommodating staff. The entire camp is fenced in, so no need to worry about cute elephants...

Nkambeni. Is a tented lodge situated within the borders of the Kruger Park, but outside the gate. The major downside of this is that you have to renew your Park entrance permit on a daily basis, with ID for all adults required. This can be time consuming and should be something that the management of Nkambeni should address with the...
