People should carefully research the places that they want to visit and find somewhere which will meet their requirements. After I read a particulary bad and in my opinion, very unreasonable, review of Rhino Post by an international tourist, I decided to visit this lodge, but did not have very high expectations. Rhino Post actually exceeded my expectations in a...

Dear Sinclair Thank you very much for the lovely review. Wifi via satellite is sadly and expensive thing, and not always completely reliable, however as you say - a bit of a digital detox is not a bad thing! We do have reliable internet and telephone communications though. We appreciate you taking the time and trouble to give such a...

Just spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed our time. The staff is great, very helpful and warm. Excellent food, drinks are complementary on game drives. Our ranger was Bonga he was a lot of fun and helped us get great photos of the Big Five plus. If you are going to Kruger, stay here!

We stayed here after our rhino safari walking tour at the Plains camp. Rooms are typical tent / house mix type, it was very cold and there is nets instead of windows on the top part of the rooms, thus no insolation from the outside. The hotel runs with generator during the day and batteries at night after 10pm give...

Dear mwant999 Thank you for taking the time to give a review and provide us with feedback. We do regret that the power went off in your room when the generator was switched off. It shouldn't happen. There is a switch on the inside of the door that switches the room power between battery and generator, and this may have...

The Rhino post safari lodge definitely surpassed the expectations of both my husband and I. We arrived from the airport and were quickly greeted by the manager that told us there was a Rhino at the watering hole and we should quickly make our way to see it before checking in, she took photos of us and when questioned about...

Exceeded expectations on all fronts. Excellent food, great service, and attention to detail. We loved our room. Our guide was outstanding and very well trained in every aspect of the bush. Only complaint is that the wifi connection was hopeless, but I think that has more to do with the country's infrastructure.

My husband and I have been to SA three times, this was my BIL and his wife's first time and I planned the whole trip. Our first stop was Rhino Post, and everyone was THRILLED. I love the eco-set up - and yet it is quite luxurious. Our "tents" (canvas walls, thatched roofs, sliding glass doors :-) fantastic bathroom with...

This was truly once in a life time experience and was beyond my expectations. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent and the drinks were more than reasonable. The accommodations were clean, rustic and added to the whole experience. The watering hole by the property was a great feature. The smallness of the lodge was ideal, with...

This camp is in a great location. Everyday we saw amazing close up with Elephants at the watering hole. The staff even called the phone in our tent to let us know the elephants had arrived. One day we saw about 50 pass through - which was pretty amazing. The drives were great with loads of viewing, the guides very...

What an experience. We stayed two nights in the Rhino Walking Camp and two nights in the Plains Camp (of which one night was in a tree house). Both very different and both excellent. The Plains Camp is a little more basic (but definitely not 'camping') - ensuite toilet+shower, 3 course meals, swimming pool !. The day starts with an...

“The "rooms" are actually private bungalows that reflect the beauty of South Africa and it's history. Make sure to lock your doors and windows when you leave. No worries about human intruders, but the monkeys are always looking for "fun"!”
