This is a basic rondaval camp hotel. It is not a luxury stay. It is ideal as it is about 4 km from the Skukuza airport and a great place to stay for about two nights. You can braii (bbq) here. There is a take away / informal style restaurant that has lots to select from. There is also a... More

For the big five it is best to stay in the south and as we had previously stayed at Lower Sabie we were disappointed that the only accommodation was at Skukuza. We were not disappointed for long. Although it is the biggest camp it still felt small and had that personal touch. The check-in staff were very helpful, the accommodation... More

I stayed at Skukuza for 3 nights; my initial night in the park & my final 2 nights in the park. For all 3 nights, my accommodations were in a LR2W Riverside bungalow. These are situated away from the crowds and are walkable to the restaurant. The view from the bungalows is fantastic and a great way to enjoy sunset,... More

We stayed here because it is very convenient if you want to take an early morning safari. However, we were not impressed at all! The rondavel we stayed in reeked of some chemical product (creosote?) which stuck to our skin, hair, clothes, luggage..... We had two separate beds. I have never seen dirtier bed linen in my life (blood stains... More

Clean and efficient but basic... we had everything we needed. Close to the store...kitchen area w dishes and table along the porch...strong shower w plenty of hot water. This is an economic option for those who don't want to camp, btw...bought a delicious bottle of pinotage wine at their store for under 50R. They don't gouge on prices...much appreciated. This... Really good base camp for Kruger park, we camped for 4 days and all the facilities are up to scratch and clean. The swimming pool is lovely after a hot day in the park but does feel very cold. The shop has everything you could need and is reasonably priced which is a surprise. You can see the animal through... More

This camp was our first introduction to Kruger. It was just what we wanted. Close to the magnificent Sabie River where you could sit around midday with a cool beer and look out to elephants, birdlife. The cabin was great, all your basic needs, comfortable and clean. All amenities are close at hand. Would stay here again and thoroughly recommend.

I managed to book a river view bungalow close to the restaurant and shop. Good size porch and view of the river. The stove and fridge are outside. This makes for a cool start to the day for breakfast. The bungalow is surrounded by grass which is better than the normal bungalows. This room had a TV which I didn't... More

The Skukuza is the biggest camp a Kruger. The view of the Sabie is amazing. There are a lot of places to sit and enjoy the view or you can also chose the restaurants terrace. We found the restaurant Cattle Baron much nicer than in the other camps we stayed (full of burger and pizza chains). But this is probably... More

Definitely the busiest Kruger park rest camp, but it is so close to a lot of great game viewing. The accommodations are comfortable, the staff are friendly and the service is decent. There are lots of activities to do if you plan ahead. There are two pools which are good for a warm dip after a day of game viewing.... More
