We slept in the wheelchair accessible bungalow. You can see they are newly renovated, and we enjoyed the cleanliness. The bathroom is however not practical and certainly wont correspond with regulations set by wheelchair associations. There is a hand rail above the toilet, which cannot...More

Our room was adequate for what we paid for but I personally don't enjoy sleeping on stained bed linens. The room was quite large but the mustiness was so overpowering we didn't spend much time inside. Bathroom was fine- clean enough. You get what you...More

A visit to Kruger would not be complete without a stopover at Satara. The game opportunities there are great and we have never been disappointed. The newer revamped bungalows are the best. The shop is well stocked and a braai after sunset a must. Nocturnal...More

A beautiful camp to stop at. Nice shop and restaurant facilities. What is amazing is that the toilets were not working and there seemed no plan to try and resolve the problem despite the number of people visiting the camp

Yes provided you have your own rotor, you will have a signal. I am not sure if there is Wi-Fi near or at the restaurant area.

Hi! Did you stay in a campsite or a rondavel at Satara? I'm camping at Satara this weekend and was wondering if each campsite has a braai or if I should bring my own. I know from my childhood holidays that the rondavels all have braais but I don't know about the campsites. When I camped in the drakensberg, there were some of those little metal braais with three legs but a large group of rather selfish people just took like three of them and set them up in their campsite for the whole time they were there! I was wondering if I might find the same sort of thing at the Satara campsite and find myself unable to cook if I don't bring my own braai.

We have booked Stanley House for 2 nights in early November. Do you think it is likely that we will see animals out our back patio or will we need to drive around or take a guided tour?
