The previous time we stayed here it was just after a bad veldfire ravaged the area and there was little to see. This time it was beautiful and although the tall grass limited our sight we enjoyed the scenery. We stayed in one of the units that has a communal kitchen and ablution. The aircon and the fridge worked well,...

It's great to be back. Always feel welcome here. This part of the Kruger National Park always delivers well on animal sightings. This area is good for viewing Sable and Rhino. The granite rocky outcrops make a lasting impression when visiting here.

In the last 20 years of visiting Kruger, we have, for some unknown reason never stayed at Pretoriouskop rest camp. As keen birders we have missed so much!!! The bird bath in the camp has regular "pop-ins" especially the Purple Crested Turacos and is always a hive of activity. The newly renovated Bungalow we stayed in was really comfortable and...

When you see what our family christened the Big 5, super 7, Tremendous 10 and eventually the tremendous 12, you must have had a wonderful time. And we did. We saw leopard, lion, ellies fighting, rhino, cheetah, hippo, crocs, amazing hyena, snakes, honey badger, side striped jackal and on the last drive about 100 buffalo. Add in eagles, giant scorpion,...

Had stayed at this campsite 5 years ago. Went back mainly for refreshments. Previously restaurant was not brilliant, now it is a Wimpy. Had a snack here but could not have ice cream as machine broken. Would not have liked to have had an evening meal here. Caste Baron at Skukuza or Mugg & Bean and Lower Sabie much better

Stayed at Pretoriuskop from 05/03/17 to 07/03/17. The room was well maintained and well serviced. The camp is well maintained. This camp is worth visiting it is still the same as 20 years ago the time in the camp was wonderful as I prepared to end this wonderful trip. I will visit this camp again. I will say be mindful...

Second visit to this rest camp at different times of year. Whilst the accommodation is the best we have come across in Kruger, the terrain around the camp makes viewing very difficult and we struggled to see many animals. This camp is fairly well placed for exiting Kruger and travelling back to Johannesburg or other areas of South Africa but...

There are many camps to choose from. Pretoriuskop being close to Numbi gate is a popular choice. The variety of accommodation offered is great but be aware that some rooms are really small so book wisely. The most beautiful pool is situated an the east of the camp, this was the first pool 9n the Kruger National Park and by...

The rest camp and cabin was clean and even though there were a lot of people it did not feel overly crowded. The pool area was great on the warm days and the kids enjoyed it the most. I only saw one restaurant (Wimpy), but there was a shop where you could buy caned goods and meats. Overall a very...
