Considering the price, it's a decent choice for a lodge in the Kruger. Ok, the rooms are a bit lacking as the bedsheets were grey from years of use and the general feel was a bit like a slightly ramshackle hut. But it did provide a relatively good night's rest and we were able to park our SUV right beside...

Yes, this camp has amazing views of the river where you can see Elephants and different species of birds but the units are poorly maintained! We stated in the 4 bedroom family unit and my sister in-laws air-conditioning wasn't working. She asked if someone could fix it but no one even bothered to attend to the issue during our 2night...

The bungalows there are great. Clean and nice. I cannot recommend to do the morning and river walks. However the accommodation was really good value for money for 60€ per night. Best stay in Kruger for us. We stayed in three more camps.

Helpful and kind staff. They send intros and all the important details needed via email a day before arrival. The front desk staff was amazing! They helped setup all our morning and night walks and drives for the remainder of our trip.

The rooms are so clean, like a small heaven. The private braai area is also nice. The restuarant has a beautiful view of the animals crossing the river. You wont even need to drive around and search for animals when you are in olifant. They also have a beautiful pool but the water is cold. I enjoyed it no complaints.

Unparalleled for its view, this camp remains one of Kruger's most popular. The chalets are not well appointed and, because they have yet to install baboon-proof gates on their cupboards, we had to use our suitcase stand for our groceries. You also have to share your room with the fridge which means constant moving in and out of the room...

We stayed here a few times before, we really like the location of the camp. The swimming pool came in handy as it was very hot. Game viewing was not that great, except for a great sighting of 9 juvenile hyaenas near Balule. Units were well equipped.

Perfect stop if you're driving from the North of the parc to the South. Great place. Not too touristic. Quiet camp. The shop is not very big so if you don't want to go to the restaurant, you should bring your own food. There are a lot of animals to spot on the road.

The Oliphants river is a tributary of the Great grey green greasy Limpopo river. Not a bicoloured rock python in sight nor the fictitious Kolokolo bird. Wonderful views but not from Rondavel 108. 106 was great. Mugg and Bean just fine with Given as our waiter. San Parks are wonderful for us visitors from abroad.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guests that visit Olifants will be exposed to an unforgettable window of Africa. The camp is situated a top a hill which towers several hundred feet over the Olifants river. Views from the lookout platforms allow one to see the river below, just as a soaring eagle would survey it, as it hunts from the skies. ... more   less
