We stayed over on the 01st May 2014 the accommodation was good but nothing over the top, small repairs required in the tent. The food was not good at all - we had lunch and had no choice on the food, we received fried chicken with potatoes and salad. Breakfast same thing a surprise - firstly the table was not...

We stayed at Thandeka for two nights a year ago and had a lovely time. It was mid-week and we were the only ones there which was very relaxing but also made it a bit awkward when there was more staff than people. There was a generous amount of food which was nice but not amazing. The game drives were...

We stayed at Thandeka for a long weekend in October. I wasn't sure what to expect because to lodge is quite small. We enjoyed ourselves so much that I am thinking how soon can we go back (and I am not really a bush holiday person). Here's what we really enjoyed: 1) The staff was friendly and attentive. They weren't...

In the course of my business I visit many lodges with tour groups. Basic management skills lack very much here. Staff attitude is not what one would wants to see. This lodge just does not have the WOW factor. Rangers are not trained. Saftey on vehicles are NIL. Vehicles are not well equiped. Tented chalets need ongoing maintainance. Kitchen staff...

I would like to start by saying that Thandeka lodge is a bush veld paradise! The staff are extremely friendly and every need and desire is catered for. We arrived and we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist named Queen, and she made us feel right at home from the word go. We then got blown out of our...

Stayed for a wonderful long weekend. Two game drives per day with plenty of animals actually seen. The tented luxury is an absolute pleasure to stay and sleep in. Nice pool to relax by in between meals.

Just recently we were guests at Thandeka Lodge for two days and I would like to express my gratitude towards the whole Thandeka team for making our stay one of the most appreciated stays I have ever had. The accomodation (our "tent"), the food, the relaxed atmosphere, the team and, last but not least, the 6 weeks old white lions...

My husband and I recently spent a few days at Thandeka lodge with our 2 children and young baby. Although the food and service were initially a bit disappointing, after raising our concerns with management there was a marked improvement. So much so that we chose to stay an extra night! The lodge and game viewing is very child-friendly, and...

We really enjoyed our stay recently at the Thandeka Lodge. The tents were really lovely, beautiful interiors, really comfortable and the food and service was excellent. All the game drives were so different and interesting and our ranger was really knowledgeable and all the staff made the experience so special for us. We would love to return some day!

“We had a family tent that had a big queen bed in the main room and had a separate bedroom with two single beds. Loved it. Loved the big bath tub too. Had a great soak with the flaps up (it is private enough so don't worry) listening to nothing but the sounds of the bush. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.”
