Thank you for your review, glad to hear you enjoyed stay.
My husband and I stayed over the Saturday night before we went into the Kruger. We had a top floor room which was tastefully decorated, very spacious and clean. The bathroom in particular is huge and very impressive. The only disappointment was that the room...More

We stayed in a river view room(nr 18) which was clean and simple, but very small and felt a bit crowded once the luggage was in. There was no suitcase stand or any other place to put bags. The room has no window to open,...More
An amazingly beautiful setting on the crocodile river overlooking the Kruger National Park. We experienced the best animal sightings from the lawns and deck of the lodge, more so than we did driving around the park! Anita and her staff are all extremely friendly, helpful...More

I'm not sure if I am understanding correctly. Are you landing in Kruger at Skukuza? If so I don't think you would then want to drive out of the Park (to Rio Vista). It would make sense to rent the car at the airport and do your own self drives. You can book game drives at Skukuza but there are only a couple a day and most people find that they see more doing their own drives. How long do you plan on staying in Kruger? If budget allows you could stay outside the park at Sabie Sands ( we stayed at Elephant Plains) and they take you out on game drives and provide all meals.
We absolutely loved Rio Vista but it is a great place to stay when driving from Johannesburg and staying overnight before entering Kruger. Two of the best rest camps in Kruger for wildlife viewing (IMHO as well as others ) are Lower Sabie and Satara. You will need a vehicle to get from one camp to another. I hope this helps.
If you are looking for tours into Kruger from outside Kruger there are a number that are recommended if you do a search of the Kruger forum.
