Stayed already many times in this hotel. It is a good hotel with just breakfirst served. Rooms are good in size and also clean. The breakfirst is Ok but a bit of variety would be recommended. Sometimes I need to stay for a few weeks. Hotel area is nice with a few restaurants on walking distance. Two things for improvement...

I stayed at In Green Lake Umuzi in February. This is a great establishment. I like the fact that there is ample restaurants to choose from. The hotel is very clean. I can recommend it to business travellers as well as families who want an outing in Secunda.

The room was on a busy road, to noisy to sleep, the check in staff forgot to tell me I need a voucher to have dinner, I was told its my problem and I should concentrate when they check me in...wow first for me. Unfortunately I think it could have been resolved with a simple apology, instead I was referred...

I visit this hotel now for 10 years I like their african interior and friendly staff the beds are very good and I like the style of their showers My only complaint is the speed of their wifi. Make sure that you bring your own access point as speed in some of the rooms can be close to zero

The hotel is hidden but easy to find. I enjoyed my stay, their breakfast was not so good I love great variety. The rooms are beautifully designed. They have very interesting rules that not more than two people are allowed in a room at anytime. They are strict on noise levels to guest, but their own staff do not respect...

I have stayed at this hotel on my business trips, their chalets and even their premium flats (Jakkalsdraai). The Merchant Hotel is decent, clean and value for money. However a few odd points - shower has a clear glass screen directly into the bedroom area, wi-fi really very slow, no phones in the rooms, bottles of water not provided properly....

Clean rooms. Supper is via vouchers at adjacent restaurants. Secure parking but with limited coverage (shady net). There was ironing facilities available in the hall, between the rooms, which was very odd.

I stayed at the Merchant hotel whilst on a business trip. The hotel is advertised as a business class hotel and is a decent standard hotel, rooms are clean, multiple region sockets for plugging in your devices, beds are comfortable and bathroom is ok. A bit strange having the clear glass screen directly into the bedroom area. Also some days...

This is a budget hotel which has the essential for people that need to stay for work for a few days. The only negative remark is the internet which was very slow during the period that I have stayed. I guess there was a congestion in Secunda because everywhere was the same story. Apart from that, bed comfortable, spacious room,...

Rooms were clean and tidy, as was the rest of the hotel. The shower is very odd as a pane of glass separates the bedroom from shower cubicle - voyeurism at its best!! This also means not much privacy when you are sitting on the loo either. Breakfast was a little disappointing - the "fresh fruit" was tinned.. The bacon...
