Took some work visitors from Australia here for the weekend. Exceeded expectations. Not too far from Johannesburg. Comfortable and great food. Game drives were excellent too. Highly recommended. Reasonably priced too.

Great rooms (more like chalets), fantastic staff, superb knowledge guides who always give you extra time on the rides, great food - overall just a top venue with great atmosphere and bush etiquette. You'd do a lot worse than get Darrell as you're driver.

We were looking for a quiet game lodge near Johannesburg to celebrate a 50th birthday. We got that and a lot more at Black Rhino Game Lodge. The staff made the birthday celebration very special and memorable, and went out of their way to make the occasion unforgettable.

We had a very enjoyable time at Black Rhino Lodge, thanks largely to the very kind staff on site. They catered for all our needs which was difficult at times as we had 2 (at times demanding) kids with us! Nothing was too much trouble to attend to, everyone was very polite and attentive, catering for all our needs. The... More

We usually prefer self-drive excursions and were slightly wary of the guided wild drives. What a pleasant surprise! Tyrone was our designated driver/guide/ranger and we can highly recommend him! He is an oracle of information and knows unbelievable much about nature and all aspects of the wildlife in the Pilanesberg. The rangers are an enthusiastic and closely knit team and... More
