From the moment you leave Bakubung with Jaryod to reaching Tshukudu you know you are in for a special time. The Lodge set high within Pilanesberg National Park looking down on an active waterhole is superb and in keeping with the environment. Jaryod is knowledgeable and gifted in his job as ranger - passionate and committed - he is a...

From the moment you arrive at the lodge you realise you’re in for a treat. Set up high on the side of a hill the lodge complex sits nicely into its surroundings. There are a few steps to climb to get to the reception and your lodge, but it is worth it. The reception area has a bar and viewing...

Cannot praise the staff too much and rooms, food and hospitality was memorable!!!!! The guides have a wonderful understanding of the animals and the environment and are obviously are experts in their chosen profession. Wishing them all the luck with their conservation work, I am sure that their enthusiasm will be rewarded.

Our transfer at 2pm from Bakubung Gate in the Pilansberg National Park to this glorious lodge was seamless and Jared our ranger for the next two days was an absolute fountain of knowledge and very comedic so a fun time was ahead for sure. This lodge is not for anyone under twelve and you need to be quite fit as...

For the first time in months, I really relaxed. Two nights felt like a week! The game drives were superb with Shawn, the General Manager. She went out of her way to take care of us and make sure we had the best sightings possible. The lodge looks down on an open plain - you see the animals walking to...

My experience at the Tshukudu lodge has been absolutely superb. Not just the game drive (which has been one of the most beautiful experiences of my life) but everything right from the service, rooms, view was fantastic. You must go for a minimum of 2 nights (3 would be even better) if you want time to chill in the room...

excellent stay at Tshukudu, only had one night due to work commitments but I really didnt want to leave. Yes there are steep steps up to the lodge, but you can take it slowly, giving you a chance to take in all the little things you might miss, lizards, frogs, beetles, dassies. Accommodation: The room I was in was comfortable,...

The whole experience was to frantic, you cannot arrive until about 3pm and you are off out on safari at 4pm the back at about 7.45pm and dinner at 8pm. Although you are told about the steps leading to the lodge its more like climbing up a mountain and upon arriving at the top we were faced with another 70...

The views from the rooms are fantastic, looking across the plain and you can relax on the balcony observing the animals at the waterhole which is a hive of activity. The game drives were very good - we saw lots (all big five except the leopard which was in hiding). The food and the facilities were really good. We were...
