Some time ago a friend of mine and I rented that huge apartment upstairs. We stayed there for 3 or 4 nights. It was winter and the weather was not that great at all but we cozied up in the sitting-living area in front of the fire and chilled. It's a welcoming place. Taking a hot shower in the icy...

We stayed at Camps Bay Glen for a week and a half (way too short) and had a great time there. It's a safe place with excellent view. There is a shop close by (10 minute walk) where you can get a nice breakfast. Table mountain, the beach, lions head and many more interesting things are also very close (by...

We are Chinese family and we arrived on the night of 28 August 2013 and we lived one week. We have to say that we are so lucky to find this house and to meet so many nice people. When we arrived, we has lost our baggage , the owner mark has helped us to contact with the airport, otherwise...

I stayed at Camps Bay Glen studio B for a couple of nights in April whilst traveling with a couple of friends and really enjoyed it. The whole place is decorated in a very chilled, natural but uplifting way reflecting Mark's (the owner) deep connection with all things nature-related. It was too cold then for a dip in the pool...

My family and I felt it was run down and very shabby . We stayed in studio B and felt it was disgusting. We had to move after two days and my husband , daughter and I could not stay in the place any longer. We are not snobs or anywhere near that but felt it is more for backpackers...

We stayed in Main House (A) . Down-to-earth self catering with personal and original decorating and facilities. Kids loved the pool area, the hammocks and the deck. They fought to sleep in the fifth bed setup in the living room.

I lived in Cape Town for 10 years, and visited again over December 2012. I searched LOADS of places on TA etc, comparing price vs location vs amenities. I was on a limited budget, but am past my backpacking days. I didn't want to stay at a BnB and couldn't afford a hotel with a balcony and a sea view...

The hospitality in South Africa I found far exceeded anywhere else I have visited in the world, a genuine desire for you to have a welcoming, unforgettable and vibrant experience. Camps Bay Glen provided a homely, comfortable and clean accommodation experience. We loved relaxing amongst the natural surrounds, hammocks, deck chairs and pool, whilst reveling in the view of the...

We came back for the 3. time and stayed in our favorite Cape Town 'home' for a week. There have been some major improvements implemented by Mark, not changing the original style of 'non-posh', down-to-earth selfcatering, with a breath-taking view from the terasse. ... and only 10 walking minutes away from the oyster crowd on Campsbay beach, should you feel...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Campsbayglen is a little gem on the edge of a nature reserve "Glen". A beautiful rustic, down to earth natural setting with a unique river & wild waterfalls flowing through the garden that has a leafy green forest feel at the river which is a great place to cool down after the heat and sun of the pool area. We also have a rustic hammock lounge at the giant pool to laze around in and relax and with sun beds around the pool. There is an easy walk to the beach and to do Table mountain hikes. An exquisite and unique feel of nature and beauty is Campsbayglen. we are a rustic earthy place with no Stars. We try to give a sense of maximum privacy by breaking the garden and pool areas into different parts and places for people. We even have a sleeper day bed over the river. Book the whole house or go for a self catering studio. THERE ARE 3 INDEPENDENT, Own Entrance self catering studio Apartments,- Each is fully equipped for self catering and with own toilet shower & toilet. STUDIO A - MAIN HOUSE. Has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & kitchen and lounge and its best space is the huge terrace with sea views. Studio B and C are smaller & ideal for couples or small family's or friends. See the pictures. Best rates are through our official Campsbayglen website direct. I do give discounts & will happily advise on travel. I am a fanatical lover of nature and know a lot about South Africa. ... more   less
