James, the owner of the guesthouse, is very friendly and made sure that we made the best out of our stay in Cape Town! The guest house is well located, at a walking distance from the Waterfront and other main attractions of the city. Our room had a great view on the ocean.

We stayed for three nights in Cheviot Place Guest House in the beginning of August and it was amazing. We had just landed after a big flight and James organized a shuttle from the airport and we were greeted by a big smile and a cold beer. The room was great and we had a great balcony with a beautiful... More

I spent my first night in Cape Town at Cheviot Place and it was the perfect start to get cultured into the city!! I got a very friendly welcome from the housekeeper. My room was right by the front door with beautiful picturesque views of the ocean and the football stadium that was used in the world cup! The house... More

Love Cheviot Place and keep going back, ever since friends from England stayed there and raved about it. Conveniently situated close to the Waterfront, the city, the western beaches, Malay Quarters, restaurants and Table Mountain Cheviot Place is my first choice. There are a variety of room choices and as I booked late, thought I would be disappointed with my... More

We arrived first thing in the morning following an uncomfortable overnight flight from the UK. Our driver, organised by James, the guest house owner, was there to meet us at the airport and things got better and better from that moment on! Not only was our room ready for us but we were warmly welcomed by Lucy (James was away... More

I have stayed here twice now and I go because of James the owner, he greets me, offers refreshments after my journey, sits and plans my stay there, acts as Tour Guide, administrator, telephone assistant and a great persona! The lovely rooms have such attention to detail and personal touches, fresh flower/leaf arrangements, toiletries and a goodie bag, also hairdryer,... More

I stayed here with my Dad for 5 nights and had a wonderful time in Cape Town. We were met at the airport and taken to Cheviot Place organised by James. James the owner was not there to meet us as he does not live on site which was a little strange at first but great. We met him in... More

The best of this accomendation is The Central area in Greenpoint and the owner James. He takes a lot of his time for all of his guests in order to make their stay fantastic. We will definitely recommend Cheviot to our friends and will come back on our next trip. trank you James.

I don't think we've ever felt as "at home" in a B&B as we did at Cheviot Place. James the owner is one laid back dude - very amiable, knowledgeable and friendly. He doesn't actually live in the property full time so you really feel like the place is yours. Rooms are shabby chic everything you need is available. Honesty... More

We stayed at Cheviot Place for a couple of nights while visiting Cape Town. The room was very pleasant, and the breakfast was excellent. What really stood out, and what makes this a hotel that I've recommended to every friend who's visiting Cape Town is the proprietor, James. He was incredibly helpful and welcoming, offering us drinks when we arrived... More
