I stayed here as a single woman travelling alone in late February 2014. The best thing about this place is the staff. They are super friendly and helpful with travel plans. The front desk is open all night so you can feel more comfortable coming home late, not that I did. The place is clean and in a quiet location...

Cape Town Backpackers is at a great location near Long Street and Kloof Street, and not at the noice of Long Street itself. The staff is great and helps with everything, like tours, bookings, advice, etc. I had a good twin room. Cleaning of the room and change of linnen was forgotten, but I asked for it and it was...

I was booked into another hostel, which forgot my booking, leaving me stranded, offering no apology or advice on other places. Not a good start. I Googled accommodation and came across this place. It made up for all the frustration and effort. I take a private a room, which was affordable, but modern. I spent ages just reading on the...

I had a great time staying at Cape Town Backpackers! The staff was so helpful with everything, including getting us situated in our room and helping us book tours and excursions. Everything was clean and well kept. The free wifi was great and worked at a relatively fast rate. The overall vibe of the place was great! I would definitely...

I absolutely loved staying at Cape Town Backpackers! Awesome location, wonderful, clean rooms and amenities, very social environment without being a party hostel, free wifi, affordable/delicious breakfast and not to mention the best of the best staff. The place just has such a cool vibe and I would not hesitate in recommending this place to anybody visiting Cape Town.

I had such a great time here at Cape Town Backpackers! I gotta say that the staff here are the best! Not only were they very helpful with bookings, directions, making sure that your stay was comfortable, but they always had time for a beer and a chat! To me, they didn't feel like staff, more like new found friends....

Hi CTBP, I like your hostel a lot, when still in CT and I keep visiting the place. They have the cutest toilet paper I have ever seen (it has puppies on it) :) The rooms are clean, the only minor in my dorm (6) is the cupboard space was a little small, just 2 closets for 6 people isn't...

We had an awesome stay. The only issues I had with the place was perhaps the cost per person for a shared double room. I will however give it the benefit of the doubt since it was during peak season (and for some reason South Africa is somewhat expensive in terms of budget travel). But in light of that I...

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to give us a review. The team here all love reading positive things about what we do. I'm sorry you felt the cost was high, our dorm beds work out to be around $9 or £5 a night and for central Cape Town we think that's pretty good! Enjoy your travels and we hope...

So convenient...super staff...nice breakfasts. Loads of knowledge about Cape Town. A rocking bar with everything being offered. The hostel is a funky place a block from long street and loads of shopping and great eating places of all types.

The style of the establishment is well suited to back packing; these guys know what they're doing when it comes to creating the appropriate atmosphere. I've only been here for 30 minutes and I have decided that it would have been really cool if my fire SA had joined me because the bar and lounges are really cool.
