Our home away from home in Cape Town. Restaurants around the corner to which we could easily walk. We could walk to the centre during the day. Slight uphill walk back. Breakfast was delicious. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. Bed was super comfortable. A little street noise.

Thank you Anne & Bruce for making our seven night stay here spot on. Underberg House is relaxing and comfortable. The Persian rugs, art work and furnishings contribute to the wonderful ethos of this house. There are quality books to browse and daily newspapers are at hand. Our bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the powerful shower. Toiletries are...

Having stayed in many bed and breakfasts all over the world I can confidently say that Bruce and Anne are the real deal. This was our first stop in South Africa and it was a great choice. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished; the breakfasts delicious; and you'll not find better hosts. There's a good selection of restaurants and bars nearby...

The Service is good, the room neat, clean and quiet, but perhaps too much light for us who we are used to sleep in the absolute dark. The location is central and well served. Nice restaurants in the nearby.

We spend 7 nights at this location. The hospitality provided by Bruce & Anne made this such a special stay! The are gracious, accommodating and just enjoyable to deal with. They were extremely helpful in getting us an outstanding guide (Chris) for our one day magnificent tour of the peninsula. This guesthouse is pristine -- clean and so well taken...

Fantastic accomodation, gracious and knowldgeable hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble, excellent breakfast. Perfect for those wanting the benefits of the personal touch rather than bland corporate boxes.

This was our first visit to Cape Town and we didn't really know which area to stay in. I'm so glad we stayed here. Firstly, the area is safe, even though you need to keep an eye out anywhere in South Africa, and we walked around in the evening without incident. It is also easy to get anywhere (but the...
