Perfectly located with amazing views. Whether you are having breakfast in the executive lounge or using the spa.. You are spoilt for choice with the views. We stayed in Executive Rooms located on the 18th floor with private access. Rooms were super comfortable and spacious with the usual complimentary amenities that we expect from the Mariott brand. Access to executive Lounge on 19th Floor for complimentary snacks and drinks. You have the option of having breakfast at the lounge or downstairs at the main breakfast station. Valet parking available and so convenient. Staff were courteous and helpful as I needed some documents printed. Fast becoming one of my favorite hotels in the city. Will definitely be back.

Extremely friendly staff, great sleeping quality, nice accomodaties; the executive lounge upstairs is a magnificent place to meet and relax; great breakfast. They have an abundance of staff members, all very polite, ready to help, friendly, efficient - never disturbing!

Although the rooms are large enough, children coukd not be added to our room. Our ‘assured’ connecting rooms were unavailable - so my husband and I had to sleep in separate rooms, one with each of the children. They are too young to sleep in a separate hotel room in a strange country. Children are also not allowed in the inside pool even when accompanied by an adult. An outdoor dip in rainy windy weather is not a feasible alternative. Children are not allowed in the bar area (could be a SA kaw to be fair) Breakfast staff very friendly, but with 50% of our family uninterested in breakfast it was kind of irrelevant. I will definitely stay elsewhere next time with or without children.

Response from Mincha Parker, Guest Services / Front Office at The Westin Cape Town

Dear 540vr, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review of your most recent stay experience. It is with great sadness that we saw you left our hotel unsatisfied with your stay experience and that our reservations team assured you that you will be getting interleading rooms on arrival, when the hotel interleading rooms was fully booked weeks ahead. Our Front Office team did try to contact you on multiple occasions during your stay, as we had a family that was leaving earlier than expected and were had the interleading rooms available to make your stay more memorable, however we never received any answer back. It has been a learning experience for everyone and we can assure you that this will assist us in improving our daily hotel operations. Kind Reagrds, Mincha P Guest Experience Manager.

First class hotel let itself down with atrociously callous customer care. Let me start by saying the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room was roomy with an exceptionally comfortable bed and I had a great view of the water front. The hotel is ideally located across the road from the convention centre and walking distance to the waterfront. I was attending the world netball at the convention centre so it was highly convenient. The hotel has a lovely reception area which smells fantastic and high quality bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet was exceptional being one of the most diverse I’ve experienced, with great choices for all. Over my 8 day stay I did not get bored at all. There is also a beautiful spa area with sauna steam jacuzzi and indoor heated pool - with spectacular waterfront views. The outdoor pool is also heated and we were able to use both. My friend also used massage and hairdressing services all of which she found excellent. My poor rating reflects the hotels money oriented manner and the managements inability to effectively and respectfully deal with their error. On check in i gave a card so incidentals could be charged to the room. 5000 rand was charged to this card, which at the time I was not aware would happen. That was effectively just over half the rand I had converted to spend on my 8-day trip. The room was pre paid so once I realised that such a large part of my holiday spending money was being held by the hotel I asked them to reverse the hold (first request given on Aug 2nd) and release my funds so I could spend them in South Africa . I even offered to provide another card for the hold- one that did not already have rand converted to spend on my trip. Despite staying 8 days and continually explaining to the manager Jean and then the account manager Grace that I had been left in a vulnerable position with no money to spend, the hotel failed to return my money. Even when I checked out 8 days later the money was still not returned. In fact a day after I left the hotel I was charged a further 2350 rand (presumably for charges I had to put on the room in the latter part of my trip when I came to realise the hotel was not going to return my money in time). So Westin is currently holding 7350 rand and I have no idea when this ‘hold/charges’ will be reversed/refunded. The situation remains unresolved on typing this review on August 11th. The disregard for my welfare and the predicament I was placed in was disappointing and shocking. I would advise paying as you go if you decide to stay at this hotel. It was a real shame that no effort was made to rectify the situation . I suggested a cash return or using another credit card for the hold, but all fell on deaf ears as the hotel prioritised itself over my well being. They repeatedly lied to me saying the hold had been removed and even asking me a few times to check my account or contact my bank. Not a respectful or caring way to treat a guest. My visit to Cape town was fantastic

Patient, friendly staff all working hard to provide a good service. Always smiling and offering a greeting. There could have been more staff perhaps as the restaurant and bar was very busy (Netball World a cup) and despite the best efforts of the staff, the service was slow at times. Rooms were clean and well kept, and daily housekeeping service was efficient. The shower was frustrating as the water ran out into the main bathroom and didn’t drain, which meant every time we walked into our bathroom our feet got wet. The spa is good and the pool area was very quiet so I had a few very relaxing swims overlooking the city / mountains.

We stayed at the Westin Hotel, which was absolutely perfect for what we needed. My husband is a Marriott Lifetime Titanium Elite member, and can be finicky when it comes to hotels. The hotel staff were super friendly and the hotel was clean and had all of the amenities one would want, i.e. gym, spa, lounge, location, etc. The spa was lovely! The hot tub has floor to ceiling windows with a view of table mountain.

We had a wonderful stay - the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had rooms with a nice view of the mountains and the harbor (in the distance). If you're up for walking, the V&A shopping center and surrounding areas are about 20 minutes away. You're also a quick ride away from many of the attractions around central Cape Town. We especially enjoyed the lounge. The team there was really nice, and the breakfast and hors d'oeuvres in the evening were all very good. Between the staff and the room, it was a really comfortable place to stay - it was a wonderful home base and lovely to return to after days of sightseeing. Would definitely return there in the future.

The Westin Cape Town is a great business class hotel. Rooms are smart, modern and functional. Nice bathroom design with shower and separate bath. Good quality toiletry products were included. Tea (Kettle) and coffee machine with selection of beverages and biscuits was welcome. I liked the great view over Cape Town towards the waterfront from my room. My only negative with the room was the hairdryer. Hidden away in a cupboard which looked like part of the wall and it was old. Not ideal but did the job. The hotel breakfast / restaurant on the ground floor didn’t disappoint with selection of food choices. The atmosphere was a little busy and hectic but probably because it was peak breakfast time when I visited. Again staff were helpful and friendly. I didn’t use the spa, pool or outdoor pool. Sadly didn’t have time during my short stay. The hotel concierge were helpful in arranging a couple of trips. One, a private tour of the cape hope, penguins, Simonstown and stunning seaside views. A trip up Table mountain was also a highlight of the trip.

Stayed here 6 nights for a conference. The International conference center is right across a walkway/street so very convenient. I and many colleagues got complementary upgrades to the Club levels, regardless of having status with Bonvoy. The Club lounge was lovely, with canapés in the evening and breakfast in the morning. The main breakfast on the first floor was excellent. Security seemed solid and the room was appointed with all the standard things - safe, USB plugs, hair dryer (which was a little hard to find). Shower had good water pressure and the bathtub was large. The fitness center is not huge but all equipment worked and was clean. The location is good - 20 minute walk to the V&A Waterfront (safe walk, in the daytime, although always be attentive). Hotel bar had very good wines and was open late - many conference attendees enjoyed it after the conference events ended. I would happily stay here again!

We stayed in the Westin Cape Town hotel for 5 nights and it was one of the best stays. They upgraded our room and provided access to the VIP lounge on the 19th floor free of charge ❤️ The room is super clean, comfortable bed, soft towels, we had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely and the staff in the hotel just won my heart! Tamlyn at the reception desk was so helpful, she has given so many advises and was checking on me every single day, even before leaving the hotel she sent me a goodbye message! What a 5 star service! All their smiles are so genuine and I believe each guest who stay at the Westin CT feels important! The hotel location is just in the center, 10 min by Uber. They have both internal and external pools, sauna and steam room! I have nothing negative to add! Super stay at super place with the best staff from the outdoor security to the housekeeping lady.
