Rooms are plentiful & comfortable. You are close to all amenities, food drinks shops and the best views. The staff are extremely helpful and always with a smile :-) Breakfast hot & Cold - delicious! We had the best three night stay after travelling and was a fitting farewell to South Africa

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and have just returned home. I have to say I was so impressed with every aspect of our stay The room was huge, massive bed and nicely furnished and decorated with a view of the harbour and table mountain, kept spotlessly clean and the evening turn down service was a lovely... One cannot fault the charm and outstanding service, but the rooms are dated. With the refurbished in-house Ginga Restaurant and reception now fully functioning perhaps room refurbs are next? The hotel certainly deserves every accolade for staff ingenuity and charm. Nothing, but nothing is too much trouble and a great location to boot!

My partner and I stayed at the V&A Hotel mid-September for 5 nights, and we had a wonderful time. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, and the little touches (such as the hand-written card on arrival and chocolates on our pillows every night) made all the difference. We stayed in a loft room. The room itself was good -... More

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry that you were not told about the upgrade as we did inform all our agents. That being said, it appears you enjoyed yourselves thoroughly and we are very happy with that. The new space downstairs looks amazing and the new restaurant, Ginja, is equally attractive and has... We stayed there for 4 nights during our African holiday recently. The room was quite big, clean and beautifully decorated, not over the top but enough and the room was facing the table top mountain. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast which was included in the package was one of the best. My husband was so happy that... More

This hotel is right on the waterfront and next to all the action. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The staff was very accommodating and the included breakfast was beyond belief.
