Stayed here for a couple of days recently with two friends and it was absolutely fine. Room was clean and lovely. Breakfast was Gorgeous. Chilled out staff. If you are in Cape Town for a short stay, don't want to spend all your time in the hot and are on a budget.....This hotel will be good for you.

Worst hotel ever. Had a bad feeling the moment we stepped in. Please please give this one a miss. The staff is unfriendly. We had a problem with the AC, reported it, but it fell on deaf ears. The managers only concern was when we checked out and finally left.

The room was clean, but the one bedside lamp had loose wires and didn't work. This did get sorted out while we were out. There was no 2 pin plug or hairdryer as advertised. We had to ask for both from reception. Pillows are shocking and need to be replaced. Despite the fact that we were in a family unit...

Quite an old hotel but decent enough if it's a short stay. Nice breakfast in the morning. Lovely staff. There is parking right outside the hotel off the street however it is still outside which is privately owned and you have to pay an extra fee of around 70R.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is quite old fashioned and needs to be renovated. I think they have started the renovation works as some parts of the hotel are already renewed (bar, lobby, hallways). But the rooms we saw, need some renovation. But apart from that, the rooms were neat and the hotel is quite well...

I found this hotel well placed for a few days stopover, located close to Lower street and within walking distance from the Waterfront, it was comfortable without any frills, the staff were efficient and helpful, safe location good value.

My wife and I stayed at the Tulbagh Hotel for the weekend while attending this years Cape Town Jazz Festival. Whilst not a new hotel we found the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly - some of them on training - which is always a good sign of a hotels intended longevity. The hotel is perfectly suited...

Good location, especially for Argus, but run down hotel, not enough staff. Lifts are death trap. Too expensive. The few staff on duty are friendly though, and food was tasty. I rate it at most a 3 stars hotel.

The hotel is certainly not 'new'. The rooms are grimy and run down, and the bathrooms are merely functional. I've stayed there three times now (a client has booked my accommodation) and not enjoyed my stay each time. My last stay included a previous guest's sanitary pad still in my bathroom creating quite a smell. The hotel is in a...
