I love this guest house and can't wait to stay there again. Management and staff are pleasant and fun, the environment is hugely comfortable, the rooms, beds (and bathrooms) are clean, comfortable and even luxurious. Plus the location is terrific, within walking distance of shops and restaurants even though the house itself is in a quiet residential area. Too bad...

A very personalised experience. Everything was bespoke and unique. Breakfasts were fantastic, and for one day out they packed us a picnic lunch, including a half-sized bottle of wine. Location is fantastic - right next to Kloof Street which has great restaurants and boutiques, and at the foot of Table Mountain. Would happily go back again soon.

We spent one night here at the start of our trip to Namibia. An excellent choice. We had a superior room which was spacious and stylishly decorated. It is round the corner from Kloof street which has a good selection of restaurants and shops. The guesthouse is in a quiet area. Parking is free and on the road. It is...

A week at Welgelegen was not enough to see all of the Western Cape but it was enough to appreciate the terrific people, excellent accommodations, and the charm of Welgelegen. Easy walking to some terrific restaurants, views of Table Mountain from the room, quiet evenings with some sherry in the living room, and comfort all around. Simon was an especially...

This hotel is very charming. It has a lovely courtyard and our room had a balcony with a wonderful view of Table Mountain. It was very clean and we always felt safe. It was within walking distance of some great restaurants, as well. The staff was very attentive. We had an issue with our rental car delivery and Simon went...

Staff - Unbelievably friendly and accommodating in every single encounter, from check in to breakfast to laundry service to helping with outside tours. Room - The mini-deluxe is very slightly too small, but bathroom was excellent. Tiny touches like romantic fairy lights and a hot water bottle placed in the bed on cold nights just made it seem even more...

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here for 4 nights. Upon arriving Fiona greeted us in the lovely front building us and took us up to our room in the back building. The room was beautiful and there was no lack of detail from the complementary fruit and port display to the great lavender smell in the room. Then Fiona...

Great location - minutes from Kloof street. The complimentary bar in the living room is a great idea - the fire was lit every night while we were there and it was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day out. Alex is very efficient and sorted out all our queries and questions. Definitely my place to stay in...

Where do I even start? This place has it all. It is completely gorgeous--two old houses (connected together) that are very tastefully decorated (i.e., no doilies and the like). Our room was spacious and cozy and the bed and shower were both great: two requirements of mine. There is a beautiful dining room with a wonderful breakfast (made to order...

Everyone else has said it all! But I'll add kudos to Colleen, Simon and Alex for being first rate at being front office managers, and to the entire staff for going "the extra" to make us all feel welcomed. . t's clear they all love working at this beautiful urban sanctuary created and nurtured by Fiona. A+
