Nine Flowers is a great place to stay when you are in Cape Town. The rooms are lovely, just as advertised, the sitting spaces are calm and beautiful, and the breakfast service was excellent and delicious. The location is quiet, easy walking distance to The Company Gardens and easy access to the Hop-on-Hop-off bus. Plus, Ingo can arrange any other transport you might require. I would recommend Nine Flowers to anyone going to Cape Town, hard to imagine a better place.
We have been staying at Nine Flowers for the last 4 years while on holiday in Cape Town. We love it. The staff really makes us feels at home and very helpful. It is lovely a place to stay and everything is very central.
Cape Town is said to be a big mixture of nice and dangerous things. We, therefore, wondered a little bit how to make our stay there comfortable. And it was good that we took the Nine Flowers Guest House. That safe cozy clean guest house with helpful and friendly hosts quickly made our stay very relaxing. The spacy parking lot was quite convenient (especially in the busy Cape Town). The perfect location is another advantage for its guests. There are not only good restaurants, cafés, bars but also visiting points for tourists in the neighborhood. It took us only a few minutes on foot to reach any of those places. We would not hesitate to recommend the guest house to anyone. Thanh & Hans
There is only one address to stay at Cpt, Nine Flowers Guest House...we spent so many times there and enjoyed always the time with Mat & the crew...always a warm welcome and staff very friendly...safe area...The guest house has organized a journey lasting several days and was absolutely amazing...Addo Elephant Park, Tsitsikamma Nationalpark etc. - was gorgeous. Thank you for your support all the time.
We were able to walk to most of the sites we wanted to see and many restaurants. The room was spacious, clean and light. The breakfast options were highly varied and all delicious. The secure off-street parking was appreciated. Best of all was the help making reservations for activities and restaurants.
We stayed in one of the self-catering two bed room apartments and can highly recommend it for families, couples or friends. Lots of space, lovely interior, well equipped and a nice terrace. Also very clean and very friendly staff. It is also centrally located and in a very nice area with lots of cafes and restaurants and very close to company gardens.
What a nice place! We had a really warm welcome, the room was superb and the breakfast exquisite. The staff is super helpful in planning activities and selecting nice places for dinner. We will be back!
My mom and I stayed at Nine Flowers during her 65th birth year. We went in May of 2012. This review wouldn’t let me go back that far. Needless to say, our experience was that amazing that I can’t stop thinking about it. Rooms: The rooms look exactly like the pictures on the website. They look like they’ve done a few upgrades now but even back then it looked just as nice. We were pleasantly surprised. We had a view of Lion’s Head from our balcony. The rooms are very spacious so you never feel cramped. Service: Matthias was super hospitable. We stayed at a place around the corner for one night until Nine Flowers had an opening. Lucky for us, they had an opening before our scheduled stay. They called us at the other lodging and welcomed us in that same day. They don’t have a lot of rooms so you would want to book in advance. But by not having a lot of rooms it allows them to provide the superb service they most definitely have. Even for breakfast, they can cook something special just for you. It really is a home away from home. When we would come back from the day we would have rooibos tea and relished in the comfort of our fabulous room. Matthias also helped us plan some of our days while there. The recommendations he provided and helped us plan out made for an unforgettable trip. Judging from the fact that our trip was in 2012 and I’m writing this review now, our experience at Nine Flowers was one that will never be forgotten for many wonderful reasons. …
We ended our three weeks vacation in South Africa in this lovely guest house. We stayed for four nights at the Nine Flowers guest house. It is centrally located, Long Street, the center of Cape Town and even the Waterfront are all within walking distance. The charming victorian house has nicely decorated, clean and comfortable rooms. Weather permitting, the excellent breakfast is served in a nice courtyard. The service is friendly and Matthias is a very good host who supports guests with excellent advice on restaurants, sightseeing etc. Nine Flowers also has a travel agency which organized our whole three weeks trip through South Africa. We were extremely pleased with the whole organization, the selection of the route, the lodges and guesthouse. The support service throughout our trip was excellent. Congratulations and many thanks to the whole Nine Flowers team for organizing our fantastic trip through this beautiful country and making our days in Cape town at the Nine Flowers guest house one of the highlights of the trip.…
A friendly historic place in Gardens close to a lot of sights, nice rooms and an outstanding breakfast. An own parking for the guests and a lot of helpful assistance if needed and we liked most one of the apartments equipped with everything to make life easier.
